Hey , im looking for a Mind COntrol Abillity like in Starcraft 1 ,
is there a unit in game that alredy has 1 ? ( aside fromt he zerg , where it has a sorta Vine controling ur unit , )
or do i have to make it from scratch??
I basicly wana have a Unit that has a MC Aura so any units coming into range gets MC . how would i do that?
Effect (type: modify unit) - I belive the "modify unit" type of effect can change player control to the caster player
After you give this behavior to a unit it would "periodically" set off a "search effect" that would locate all enemy units in range and use a "modify unit effect" on them that changes thier ownership.
Make a behavior of type: Buff for your caster unit. Give the behavior a period, this will determine at what rate it looks for units around it to mind control. Make a Search Area Effect and put it in the Periodic Effect in the Effects section of your behavior. Set the search effect's information as you like (target filters, max/min units, radius, ect.) Create an Effect of type Modify Unit. Set the effect to change the ownership of the unit to Caster Unit and target to Target Unit. That's it, you have yourself a mind control aura.

could u be a little more specific in what field exacly i need to change these setings
When you create the Modify Unit effect, leave everything as is, just modify the Modifications Flag field, and put a checkmark in Owner.
Impact Unit+ must be set to Target, Launch Unit+ must be set to Source, and Transfer Unit+ must be set to Caster. All of these 3 fields default as is, so if you've played around with the Modify Unit effect, just reset them to this.
-effect: search type ( how do i make it so it select a specific player??? )
-Effect: Modify units ( did what u told me to do : question ; when i selected Impact unit+ and all does other sections to modify them it also has an EFFEC option with the target,caster..ect...

I don't think you can make it specific to a player (if you mean like in Multiplayer, only working VS certain ppl??) You could also modify the Search Filters in the Search Area effect. Like, making it only work on Ground units, you would "REQUIRE" ground, and/or "EXCLUDE" air. Again in the Search Filters, if you leave only 'Enemy' checked, it will only work against Enemy units, not Neutral, Allied, or your own units.
When modifying the Impact Unit+ field and what not, you do not need to specify an effect, just leave it blank, only change the "Value" field (Target/Caster/Source/Outer/UnitOrigin).
Don't get frustrated, just practice ;) 2 or 3 days ago I knew nothing about Site Ops / Attachments, and next to nothing about missiles, but I have the urge to complete my Uber Infestor sooner rather than later, and I am learning by trying different things out.
I'll take a peak at how another unit might be doing something similar to mine, and then I try and apply it to my map, and tweak it to meet my needs. If I can't get it to work, I'll take quick peaks for specific parts in tutorials.

Ya, I had originally called it Mind Control, but I didn't find an Icon I liked (Tosh has that Icon with the glowing eyes but I don't think I had it available due to unloaded dependency for it and I was too lazy to enable the dependency) so I just looked for another Icon, and when I saw the money Icon, I was like "Bribery!" is like mind control, hahaha. Except really Bribery works in reverse, if you think about it.
Anyways, on to the Flags!
I honestly don't know what they do, but I can safely say that there are probably better ways of using said fields. Like, Nullify Missile flag... I guess it would be good if you have an Area Effect search centered on a placeable forcefield or dome that completely nullifies missiles, IE protecting whatever's inside from missiles, WITHOUT having a unit shooting down missiles like the Point Defense Drone.

the only problem is on the Behaviour , there is no type : periodic ?? am i missing something ?? the aura seems to work ( its active )
but it doesnt MC the Unit ( or convert the unit ) Ether because the periodic thing int there or im missing something else??
