so basicly what it is .

I curently have a firebat that does a AOE attack Every X time as hes walks .

im using triggers but i think its causing some lag to my game when i have alot of bats

is there a way to do this AUTO attack with OUT triggers?? not auto cast , auto ATTACK*

i think the problem might be , that you cant do AUTO attack with out having a target???

Hum, how is this auto-attack? From your description sounds like this should be a periodic behavior.

If you are talking about attacking while moving, then simply allow movement on the weapon.

From your description your best bet will probably be Periodic Behavior - Search for non allied valid targets - Issue order to self affect with order being attack. Hope the helps
