So I made over a 100 buttons yesterday. All with color coded tool tips. It took a really long time. I come back today to find that around 70 of them all reset to an earlier item's tooltip. This is really really really frustrating and I don't know whats doing this. This has happened multiple times and it is really really pissing me off. How can I stop this?
The reason this generally happens is because, as Graahs said they may have the same text key. When you press Ctrl+D to view raw data, see what each texttip field says.
I have had some cases after copying objects where the key was an absolute value, like Button/Tooltip/YourButtonName, and multiple buttons had this (meaning when you change one, they all change).
The link should be more like Button/Tooltip/id which is a dynamic link, and will use the current buttons ID in the key instead. You can edit this manually in raw data mode, or if you are lucky you can just right click the field and reset it to parent, often this does it for you (but not always).

Proberly the Text key. If they use the same you are just editing the same text. Had the same problem today :)

Thanks! It was the textip thingy.
