Well all models are subject to Starcraft 2 EULA and licensing. Basically if its starcraft themed and editor based or made from SC2 Assets it is owned by Blizzard regardless and subjct to copyright infringement if the product is sold and not licensed. Unless the Blizzard shop allows you to sell model and map packs. Trust me there is going to be a blizzard shop to sell custom maps etc. because they are gonna monetize Blizzard DOTA with special costumes, accessories, hats, etc. I guarantee you there will be micro transactions.
Come to think of it Blizzard is going to release a model editor with HOTS so yeah... people will be able to sell their custom model assets...
I don't know about you but when I look at all the mods using the same models I feel that I'm playing the same game :/ Really.
So totally new models are something that also gives me feeling that what I'm playing is something different.
I agree with the time consuming factor. Nonetheless I think that creating a custom model just gives this unique feeling to your mod.

I know, but I'm sorry I made haste, I did not know I had done and that Fenix would only approve. However, the models came very well, I think I'll use that to Zerg Buster Minos the malevolent, mission Mercenaries II saga Stukov.
