Hi, i have found the m3 importer / exporter and i am trying to create some new units for sc2 ( i have years of experience in maya and 3d studio ) i have some questions about the rigging phase.
How i define the point were the projectile will be emitted by the unit ( as the rifle of the marine ) ? And how in case of binary weapons ? What is the point of the locator on the head of the unit ?
Another thing : I cant find a dds plugin for photoshop cs4 there is anyone ? I can open dds files with paint.net but i see strange thing in bump and normal mapping ( color of bump e normal is orange by default and not gray 50% )
There is nice tool called "ImageConverter Plus" that can convert images into .dds .
Also, you will use attachment points as feature you will get within NiN's modeling tool.
If there's something that its not understandable or clear about this just ask me.
I have one question for you. How will you rigg your models ?
Will you use FK only or ?
If you are able, will you do some FK examples for me ? I dont cant animate FK properly :D. That looks impossible and stupid to me. Like using rock over rifle in war.
Also I pmed to you. Answer if you can.

Thank you Tigerija. I think to use Fk for all mechanical things and also for organic things there is too low detail to lost time on an Ik system.
