ok so i think this is complicated but is there a way i can use the orange instead of the blue, this is the image file from the archon merging animation
Easiest way I can think of is if you exported said image and recolored it to be orange instead of blue. I know closely nothing to data editing and I'm pretty sure there'd be a way of doing it with data. But yeah, easiest way, or the way I'd do it is recoloring the image. It's a simple solution.
Uh...there is an actor that uses that model. Go to the model and go >Used By...then find that actor, duplicate it, and set tint color under actor events.
well i wanna use the orange becuase its pure orange, i tinted it to red but it doesnt look good so i wanted to use a real image not just tint.and why is it in their, there has to be a way to use it
It is probably used; it looks like a normal map for me. Blizzard does this sometimes; multiple things packed into one texture. One half is used as a diffuse texture, the other half as emissive/normal/specular.
You can probably make use of it, if you edit the model itself, but I doubt, there will be any way to just replace the blue stuff with the orange one, besides importing a recolored image.
Its not that 1 texture takes that much space, also recoloring the blue part to orange should not be that hard.
On the other hand; the archon stuff is pretty white and bright, so it responds very well to tint changes. Not sure, if it will be much better, when you use different textures.

Ask around. I'm a n00b, but I'm pretty sure there is a way to do it with data with the "tint" function.(Might even be triggers)

Blizzard did it with the archon itself, so it's probably possible.

hmm now that i look at it i guess its the same but red but in sc1 the dark archon was kinda buried in the red energy stuff.
