For example, an Infestor has 180 available energy. I choose to cast a Infested Terran Egg at target location. Instead of just placing 1, the spell casts as many Eggs as the Infestor has energy. If a Egg costs 25 energy and I choose to cast it at target spot, 7 eggs would be casted with offset in that location. (Since the Infestor in this example has 180 energy. If it had 200 energy 8 eggs would be casted.)
So once I choose to cast the spell, it will cast itself as many times until it drains all energy. The purpose of this is to eliminate spamming of a spell I have. Right now you gotta click lots of times to spam the spell. One click and the spell casts itself until the energy is out would be better. (important with a offset)
Use a Switch effect if you have >50 energy that uses a Create Persistent effect to use Issue Order effect to tell it to cast at that location as long as it has >25 energy. If energy is <50 it just uses the normal effect, the create peristent effect tree is disabled using a counter buff so as to reduce lag.

Use a Create Persistent that keeps using the effect tree but also a Modify Unit effect to drain the energy. Have a valudator destroy the create persistent if the energy is <25.

I built this since it seemed easier then the first suggestion you had. It works. But is there any down side with this one? Like it causes lot more lag or something?
Only if you are not careful with the period/destruction of the Create Persistent effect. Besides how many hundred infestors to you want to order to cast the ability at once before their energy runs out.
Also the colossus weapon uses 2x persistents per shot and the leviathan uses up to 4 for it's tentacles.
Only if the persistent is linked to a visual do you start getting problems.
