I want to create one missile weapon that has 8 number of missile (8 number of attack)
if you attack one enemy i will attack with 8 missiles
but if there are more than one enemy in range and i don't order my unit to focus on any enemy , the missile will randomly attack with shared 8 missiles to all enemies in range (example if there are 2 enemies it may attack one with 4 missiles and another with other 4 missiles) and this weapon also works when moving
the concept is The average-attack-power weapon that can fire while you are moving and can hit multiple target , but it would work best if there is only one target (because all missile will attack one target)
now I can create 8x missile that work while moving but i can't find how to unlock multiple target on weapon
I've tried Effect - Search Area things but what I can do is making weapon attack each enemy with 8x missile , that's what i don't want
i wantto fix number of missile in each attack to 8
In order to find multiple targets from a search effect you can use the 'Match Flags - Id' and add a validator 'no markers'. This way it wont select the same target twice.
I wouldnt know a good way of switching between multiple and single however. You would have to remove the validator, or skip the search effect somehow?
I managed to pull this off, unfortunately my way was extremely complicated. My weapon fires 3 projectiles, all three will hit one target if there is only one, but will spread the 3 shots over multiple targets if they are detected. This involved about 12 effects and 3 behaviors. If you really want to know, PM me and I'll get you the map.
For anyone who is interested, here's the map I mentioned. I'm sure there are far simpler ways to make this work, but this is the way that I found. As I said, the weapon fires three projectiles at a target. If there's two enemies, two projectiles will hit the first, one will hit the second. Three enemies will each get one projectile. The search area is attached to the target, so it will only detect enemies near your first target, this way you dont get a rogue projectile attacking an enemy behind you.
I don't know how to figure it out , please help

any idea ? thank you for every advise
Maybe apply behaviors to the target and use target sorts to prefer non-behavior'ed targets? (maybe possible with markers as well, dunno that)
