Hey guys. So I'm using an apply behavior method to change the owner of a unit (since modify player effect doesn't seem to work when you're changing ownership to the target player...). The unit has the heroic flag which work fine normally, but when the ownership of the unit changes, the hero flag doesn't show up for the new owner (I tested, and the old owner's hero icon does go away).
Does this occur when a trigger is used to change ownership of the unit?
I found the best approach for things such as changing ownership were trigger enhanced effects. These are a simple "set" or any kind of effect that does not do anything or only part of what you want. You then make a trigger with an event that fires in response to the effect (so it is very efficient and still allows the data editor to do most of the work). You can get the target and source units to some degree as well and from these make decisions such as to change ownership.
Using this a capture point system becomes as easy as 1 behaviour, 1 effect and 1 trigger with a few actions in it.
To provide more information, this relates to a transportation vehicle. So it has cargo. Upon entering the vehicle, the ownership is meant to change to the person who entered it (as well as a buff is removed that made it invincible/0 move speed/etc). Previously I just gave the unit shared control, but the main problem was the inability to hotkey the transport (also other allies would have the ability to control it). I'm guessing because of the cargo, morphing probably won't work.
It seems it does work correctly when using triggers. Maybe I'll end up doing a hybrid solution then. Just hope I don't end up like them corrupt terrans using their Maars and reavers n such xP
Units can use abilities in transports if a buff is applied to the transported units enabling the ability (used to solve the attack while in a moving transport issue).

Tried getting the unit to morph instantly into itself?
