Im trying to create a hero unit, however he does not gain experience from killing units.
I have the units set to give 200 exp on death, the hero unit has been flagged and completely categorized as a hero, and he has been equipped with an experience bar and attributes.
Please help! I can usually figure some small stuff out when it comes to errors, but i have tried everything and nothing seems to work!
Edit* - I attached the map my hero is on so you can get a little bit more hands on idea of what im dealing with.
Anyone providing information that will fix the problem will get their name on the game's cover.
I know that veterancy kill fraction is at 1, but i cannot locate a Hero unit kill fraction. Please download the map and reply back results if you can! TY
I changed the Behavior - Target Filters field to allow everything, yet still no progress.
Any other ideas?
Edit - Woah Woah nvm! I found the error and now I feel epicly stupid. Thank you so much for the assistance, and ill be adding your name into my game as contributors.
So in short it is a modified guardian shield but it slows enemies instead of buffing allies and as a finishing effect it applies impossible to balance damage (unless bosses will have way more than 15k life). Rather use Modify Unit effects for the exp gain.

There are 2 things you have to check to make sure it will work.
Under the Veterancy behavior, make sure Kill Fraction is 1.
Under the hero Unit, make sure that Kill Fraction is also 1.
If either of these are set to 0, nothing will be gained from kills.
Also the Gameplay Data data type has two fields involving veterancy filters and the range at which it is gained.

You are trying to gain exp from neutral targets. In short your test is flawed.

Btw, feel free to take the spell the Time Lord hero has. It's 100% from scratch, and you can change it however you'd like.
