    I changed the Behavior - Target Filters field to allow everything, yet still no progress.

    Any other ideas?

    Edit - Woah Woah nvm! I found the error and now I feel epicly stupid. Thank you so much for the assistance, and ill be adding your name into my game as contributors.

    Im trying to create a hero unit, however he does not gain experience from killing units.

    I have the units set to give 200 exp on death, the hero unit has been flagged and completely categorized as a hero, and he has been equipped with an experience bar and attributes.

    Please help! I can usually figure some small stuff out when it comes to errors, but i have tried everything and nothing seems to work!

    • Edit* - I attached the map my hero is on so you can get a little bit more hands on idea of what im dealing with.

    Anyone providing information that will fix the problem will get their name on the game's cover.

    I've just dove into making a hero rpg type map, however I'm having a slight issue. Hero units do not gain exp from getting kills. How do i fix this?

    i have the unit set to a hero, heroic type, hero flagged, able to level, and set him in a playpen with some zerglings to fry (each containing 200 exp that i do not receive for killing the unit)

    Any help would be much appreciated!

    • edit* I have just recently downloaded a map from youtube that had a premade heroic unit on it that had the ability to gain experience... however, even on that map, the hero did not gain exp from kills!

    Thanks for the reply!

    I understand it is going to be hard, but looking at the maps that have hit the front page (Starjewel, Left 2 Die, ext) i know i will have to work my butt off to get it all done.

    My creativity knows no bounds, so making the model for a new unit or building will be a peace of cake :D (i have attached a picture of a Super Battle Cruiser unit i created. both of the turrets on the front shoot, as well as the giant center cannon.)

    its true that site-ops is a pain, but it was the first thing i learned, so i have had quite a while to experience its full potential.

    Balance will obviously be one of the most painstaking processes, but it comes with the mission, and i am willing to do it. even if something is annoying and extremely hard to do, it's not like i have a deadline to turn it in to someone, i can take my sweet precious time making the map. Not saying ill slack off and do like 10min/day, but i wont go overdrive and go 10hours/day.

    Btw... how do you like the look of the unit in the picture i posted? (base is a battle cruiser, the rest is a lazer tank, 2 auto-turrets, A.R.E.S. unit, and Battle Cruiser yamato model i found while searching around.)

    I'm headed to make my first map that i intend to publish. I've made maps in the past, however small errors and lack of knowledge stopped me from creating a map. Now i have finally decided on making one now that i have a good understanding of the editor. I'm looking for feedback on the map idea. Constructive criticism, and suggestions, only please!

    Map idea: A Melee map with a brand new melee class that will be named later. (if you have a name suggestion, just pop it in a comment.)

    New class: The new class will be composed of new units, upgrades, buildings, ext.

    -Units: Units will be created by carefully combining standard unit models. Some units will be made from units that are not seen in melee.

    -Upgrades: Most of all upgrades will be made to (along with the boost) change the look of units.

    -Buildings: Buildings will be made from doodads and such. Some will also be made from/with buildings already created.

    -Abilities: All abilities will be brand new, and will have quality effects.

    -Balance: All factors of the new class will be put through rigorous testing to avoid making them to strong or to weak, and to test for bugs.

    Additional Ideas/info: I'm trying to create a class that can pull some of the characteristics of Terran, Zerg, and Protoss, while also introducing new characteristics, and containing a good level of originality.

    So... What do you think? Good? Bad? Give me your opinion, and if you want to, give me some suggestions for the map. I'm fine with harsh criticism, just please keep it clean, and constructive.

    I'm attempting to mount a SOp attached weapon onto a unit (tank onto the top of a battle-cruiser). I cant find any tutorials on how to attach a new model onto other model, and make it so the new model (tank's gun) will shoot with animations and the actual effects will spawn from the tank gun, and not the original BC weapon

    I know how to,

    -add a new model onto another model

    I need to know how to,

    -make animations for a weapon shoot from a separate source.

    -make the separate source (tank gun) perform animations

    -make the tank move smoothly along with the battle-cruiser animations

    posted a message on Hey Map makers! I got an idea!

    I was experimenting with units (trying to expand my "know how") and came across the model Train. This is not a normal model, because it seems to be nothing but a giant grey rectangular brick. During my experiments with the block, a thought hit me. What if i took this block and made it so that you could use abilities to customise the image of the block! Thus i have to ask it apon someone to go to Models and create a new, then set the model to "Train" (you must be in campain, not melee), and set abilities and ext to allow a player to have full Customization over the unit! and of course make a game from it :P If your able to please make a game out of it, people love customization so this map will gain good rep. (at least i think) Experiment, and have fun, and always play on!

    P.S. sorry for all the spell / grammar mistakes :P

    im trying to find a tutorial on how to certain things, but i cant -.-. can someone help me with my problem!?

    -How to make a trigger to delete all a players assests in the game if they are not there (like if someone starts 2v2 in a 3v3 and the other 2 baces are not there, how do i do that? :D)

    -How to make windows, or boxes ingame that have clickable buttons that actually do stuff.
