As a rough guess I would check the events of the Unit actor. Most of the selection stuff is separately created actors controlled by events from the actor of the unit.

If all else fails just copy the battlecruiser and replace the actor or model.

No I mean just replace the one value (actor or model) and see if that works. Should take about a minute
