Alright so I recently downloaded Autodesk 3ds Max 2013 to get into custom modeling and am having some trouble with it. Whenever I import an .m3 model from Starcraft 2 it seems to flip out and send the pieces stretching every which way, as seen below.
I've figured out that it has to do with the animation bones, since importing the file without them works just fine. Anybody got an idea on how to fix this issue?
Yup, definitely a bone issue. Probably something changed within MAXScript in 2013 that makes the plug ins go glitchy.
As maverck said, 2010 is the recommended version for which the plugins were made, I've yet to try 2013 so I woouldn't know what else glitches.
I recommend switching to 2011 or so. I use 2012 without many issues.
