Iv ported a mdl into m3 for Starcraft 2. unfortunately the textures do not port over, i am no expert at this so i think a may be doing something wrong, missing a step. I can see the details of the m3 which labels the textures used. I need assistance in porting over the textures and maybe include animation(not to fussy).
By the way its a doodad not a unit, so nice and simple.
as i remember watching your video on skype, the imported models didnt had any textures, or was that just a 3dsmax setting?
because then its no editor problem at all, isnt it?

Is your texture path right? Show a SS of your Import window
Check the box "use texture path" and erase the box to be totally blank. Then just import your assets and textures as you please.
Did you save your map, completely exit the editor, reopen the editor and reload your map? If not then you should.

are the textures actually in 3dsmax visible?

@PatchOne Textures display fine in 3ds max, I just need to import them into the data editor :P.
EDIT:
Successfully imported the model and texture. 1 of 11 parts done, now for the chevrons .
Normals and spec seem to be broken. Refer to my article for ways to fix that.
Looks pretty neat otherwise. Did you model it?
