Interesting... the fast pace was why i originally got involved with starcraft. Because Dawn of War Soulstorm (support) an Dawn of War II (concept) were a let down to me. I loved dawn of war dark crusade for its fast pacing, 3 minutes into the you could allready fight all over the map if you wanted to... good ol' days.

And slower paced strategy games like supreme commander (though it has an awesome revival in the community organized forged alliance for ever project (servers, patching and so on)) or sins of a solar empire have their own problems in multiplayer exactly because of their slow pace. I used to think games like sc2 and dow1 were great rts's for multiplayer because of their fast pace :/.

You are not wrong though, I tried to pick up laddering like three times in total for sc2 and stopped enjoying it enough in the end. It was essentially the point were I realized I wouldn't be happy with staying in plat but wouldn't be happy with putting more effort in for learning multitasking and macro management better.

I loved Dark Crusade. You get fast games that focus on mico and action(Dark crusade, frozen throne, CnC etc) and then you get fast games that focus on base building and economy (starcraft 1, starcraft 2) but starcraft 1 had a better balance I believe. Ive heard good things about grey goo but have not tried it yet.

Not a whole lot that can be done for a genre that no one plays to begin with.

There aren't many strategy games though. Atleast not many good ones which were what had catapulted RTS back in the day.

The Moba and MMORPG genre have many games of which only a few succeed(enormously) because they are done right. Thats what we dont have. Solid RTS games done right. More people are playing Age of Empires 2 on steam, than they are Starcraft 2. I could be wrong about that, but looking at the concurrent player numbers...seems to be the case.

This game is just ridiculously fast paced to be enjoyable. Korean simulator 2.0. Blizzard seeking to make the greatest esport ended up killing the majority of the casual player base. Now there is no population. Very smart indeed. But there's not much point devolving this into discussing all the flaws of the game/engine, its been done too much in the past already.

    Make Mapster great again!

How is the question. Its like inviting everyone to your birthday party, but no one shows up, and you are left alone trying to make it great. Difficult indeed.

Nice of you to swing by to be a sad sack XD

If you were here during the early days you'd feel my sadness and disappointment. This place was glorious. I still partially blame that ugly orange website overlay they added for alteast turning away some people I THINK. It looks so ugly and un-UI friendly.

Yes. I never did release the project I worked so long on either(with many other good people). Lessons learnt I suppose, at the very least.

Its been a long time indeed.

Much like the game Starcraft 2 its but a shadow of its once former glory. Mozared is one dedicated mod by the looks of it. Mod of the year award, for sure.

I see some new faces. Some old faces..

In a way I feel I let Sc2mapster down. Despite life stuff and all that, the motivation and drive I had for this place I lost. Something I did not think possible.

Though in retrospect, Blizzard's disinterest through-out the mid-life of HoTS signaled the death knell for this game. As well as the cumbersome editor features that always came later than we wanted. Wings of liberty was great. As a game, and as a mapping experience. We should be at a peak now with LoTV having been released not too long ago, and growing from strength to strength(Like the Frozen throne era) but alas its the complete opposite.

Happy holidays indeed, but it would have been more interesting if people posted what they were planning to do etc.

Personally I find it long overdue to get into the next gen console gaming. So, #ps4

This thread is a good example of how NOT to go about creating a recruitment post. It has also derailed to the point of being worthless now.

Locking it and if OP is serious he can do it right next time(aka adding minimal detail and following the guidelines at the very least to warrant interest)

If the lobby is your problem then you're out of luck, because you have no control over lobbies. Just ignore the guy and he'll get bored eventually.

Yes, the worst thing you can do is give him attention/recognition in anyway. Ignore his existence. People like that can be found in just about any online community unfortunately.

Are you an adult by any chance?. Its funny to think a grown man would bail out due to self pity stemming from a sense of entitlement or overbearing self importance.

Well, as the above poster put it, Have a happy thanksgiving I guess.

Can you add some screenshots and/or a game-play video in the description?. It usually creates more interest and attention to a map.

    The expansion looks amazing.

Ammon however has to be the most boring, uninspired, anti-climatic boss that a plot-line could revolve around. Big dark ominous power from beyond stopped by mortals. We've seen this style before...and not only once.

Is it possible to move and resize behavior bar with new patch 2.1.0? I tried code above but it's still says UI: Cannot create [BehaviorBar/BehaviorBarTemplate] because frames of type [BehaviorBar] are marked as Blizzard Only.

    Didnt you quit?

Its simple but fun. Lacks depth. Good to kill time here and there. A card game, meaning RNG shouldnt be something you complain about. Balance is good, I wouldnt say there are "better" cards, as all cards have counter play and different cards work in different builds and synergies. Its hardly pay to win. But paying money is a much better and faster way of getting the cards you want, as grinding them takes forever.
