I rarely watch WoC because between NASL, IPL, GSL, TSL, MLG *and* Day9's dailies I don't have the time, but I will check that one out. Thanks for the link!
Edit: As a note to others, the part about maps (or rather the map marketplace) starts around the 18 minute mark.
Edit 2: Really, was that worth the link? =/. I was expecting a whole discussion on it, all I got was DjWheat saying he doesn't know what happened to the map marketplace. There's nothing else regarding mapping in the show.
i tried referencing all my favorite tid bits on mapmaking vis a vis blizzard and melee maps but never found a format to showcase :)
... watching this show made me feel/think of all great mods not argued / hyped on such shows.
(i know that melee/ladder is not really sc2m's particular cup of joe and i'm fine with it, for me: hardcore mapmaking < melee mapmaking ;) )
i just thought it might spring ideas.. like "vocal" and "pop" author lobbying on such a high profile show...
i have a nagging impression that the sc2 crowd is going to plunge (since it has peeked) and that things could stabilize with "more" players sticking with galaxy products...
Threads and separate sites < cast (i love threads, but mods need high lurkher circulation to blossom)
So in short, i agree with you, but i wish Maverck (my scbw hero) or any other "renowned" filthy good mapmaker should try to get a 10 minute on such show... after a 10 hour discussion with all the pillars of this great community (yes i do mean mapmakers, from whichever site/color/crowd)
(10 cause you guys never want to back down, love live mapmakers) ;)
Ball is in play.. who'll pick it up and knock it out of the park?
dj Wheat and Chill on WoC discuss mapmaking :)
