I found this video and I have to say I'm pretty sure it's the ending to HotS, it's not all skinned out with textures and all but it is in 3d. But I seriously need someones opinion on this, do you think it's fake or not?
Thats like...... super super SUPER old.... But I feel bad like I ruined the ending. I doubt its real. But even if it is, I don't care, theres going to be plenty of awesomeness packed into HoTs. I cant wait. But its interesting to see how these movies get built up piece by piece like this. Sorta makes sense, though, with nova hunting down kerrigan. She's probably working for mengsk.
For me, this video throws more questions than answers at me.
If Arcturus (or the ghost project) have injected Kerrigan a neural link, couldn't he kills her earlier before? When yes, why do he needs Tychus? (maybe it's only a stunning link for the case of betrayal or something or Tychus was only a bait for Raynor because he hid himself)
I also aggre to s3rius. I can't imagine that this could be a fake. Too good to be one.
But, I rather think that is a cutscene from LotV (legacy of the Void), or maybe the ending scene. WoL are more focussed on Raynor's revenge to Arcturus and lesser on Kerrigans fate. Of course she was the main plot, but only for three missions. The rest was only "searching new members agaist Mengsk", "stop disturbing nasty Tal'darim" and "save the citizens".
HotS shall focussed on Kerrigan and her relation to the swarm. I can't imagine, that the end of it should ending with "now the zerg are free". There are also the swarm lords in the HotS preview which are portray Kerrigans memories. So maybe she fight against them or assasinate them because of something (maybe they can evolve to overminds (even when Blizzard said they're no overminds) just theory). I also want to know what happend to the zerg swarm after the Char artifact event. When Char became purged, why not every single zerg DNA of Kerrigan? How can it survive the artifact? (I think Blizzard will tell us something about accident or Xel'naga influence)
Nevertheless I think without more background knowledge it's hard to tell that the video could be the ending scene of HotS.
I know it is old but let's face facts Blizzard probably is finished with HotS at this point and already working on the next expansion. I think the reason they drag there feet on releasing the expansion is because of publishing and copyright. I've copyrighted things before and it takes about 6-8 months to make it through the copyright office. This means once the product is done it is not released but instead once it is all legally tied up it's released and the legal system is slow. Also a copyright can be rejected because it has a similarity to a different copyright even if that copyright isn't in use. Then you have to redo things and re-submit. So basically I'm pretty sure HotS is 90% complete at this point and development on the 3rd expo has started. The reason Blizzard wont give a release date is because they have to now deal with the legal system, and the legal system is one of those things that moves at it's own pace and doesn't really care how long something takes. (just look at the DMV).
I think this is actually the ending video in the raw stage and I don't think Blizzard will change it even if it was leaked because the entire story is wrote out ahead of time and it would involve major revisions to the next expansion. Even if they change the way the video is done the ending will have to be the same for the furtherance of the story. What I wonder is who Blizzard pissed off in the video department so they decided to leak this video? Or who hacked them from their parking lot?

because the entire story is wrote out ahead of time
Did you read/watch anything about the HotS event?
It would be so heartwarming if you were right, but you aren't, not in the slightest. They started on HotS in January (!) and are not very far in the production, especially with the multiplayer component. Plus they pretty much do the story on the going. Which is incredibly retarded. But hey, that way at least they have the chance to get their act together with the shitty Tychus plotline. They obviously won't though.
They wouldn't be releasing any game play teasers if they had only started in January. Plus do you really think they are going to say that they are far along on it? I mean they aren't dumb they know once you say something is mainly done people are going to start bitching about a release date and nagging about the time and all that. The game play videos are very much complete so I don't see how you think they are so not complete.
You don't think a highly professional team can put together a couple of missions and one ingame-cutscene (which is propably the intro or at least very early in the campaign) in five months when the entire engine is already there?

Yes, I do think they can do that, at the same time, the engine has had some additions, and there are rumors about water mechanics and stuff. Moreover, his point about the American legal system is perfectly true. It takes time, a good deal of it, to write up the agreements, translate them into legalnses, then for others to retranslate the legalnese into english, and then to agree or disagree.
Either way, it doesn't matter. My feeling is that the plot line is at least established for all three expansions at the outside, even if they left minor parts to the development of the individual expansions. Even if this was a leak, I don't think it can be considered a massive spoiler. Come on, we all know what is going to happen: everyone unites to fight the dark voice, this is how the zerg some how are turned against it, the next expansion is how the protoss side against it, and how they all unite, and against all odds save the universe.
It's true that the video does kinda fit the story and we do already all know what's basically going to happen. To me it makes sense that Mengsk would die in the second one, because the real enemy will be the Dark Voice from the first one.
@xSun:
I also think that a highly organized team at Blizzard isn't just going to finish a few missions before finishing anything else. I mean it doesn't make sense that they would complete just one or two missions before working on anything else. If anything isn't completely done it's probably the final touches in the cinematic part of the game.

That leak is already quite old :3
I don't think Blizzard has released a statement about it.
Voice acting, music, art, etc suggest that it's professionally made. Which suggests that it's not fake.
But since it has been leaked I can imagine that they've thought of something else.
It's very close to real ending for HotS, because now kerrigan bringing back all broods and want to kill Mengsk too.
But there are can be a lot placeholders, from voices to personage models. But Raynor is same, as we had seen in teaser (with short hair).
They can change it, or fully redesign.
More like an abandoned WoL ending.
