Upgrade to Mothership for the Core is bugged somehow. The Core upgrades to the Tal'Darim ship. That is easily fixed with a quick look at the ability.
The problem consists of the fact that, even though its specifically selected to be the regular Khalai mothership, it STILL upgrades to the Tal'Darim ship.
And it does it in fashion too! When the upgrade is complete, there show up two motherships! One Khalai, one Tal'Darim. And they are merged into the same being!
Its like they are sharing the same Core. The Khalai one stands still all the time and doesn't rotate. The Tal'Darim one rotates and is capable of moving freely.
I checked to see if its a model or actor bug, but everything related to the Mothership in that department is as blizzard left it to be.
Even the wireframe was that of the Tal'Darim. I looked at the actor and it was set to that of the Khalai. Same deal for the Portrait.
I went and reset the ability... didn't work.
I went to the Mothership in question and set its model to be the Tal'Darim ship. Now I had two Tal'Darim ships stuck in each other. One rotating. One not.
I set the Nexus to train a mothership core and the mothership that the core was supposed to transform into. I had them side by side when I began the morph.
The Mothership was fine. Exactly as i wanted it to be.
The Core transformed into the Mothership, but it still had a Tal'Darim ship stuck in its behind. And even though the same unit was there side by side, their portraits was different, their wireframes were different and their models were different.
The things that are the same are their stats, abilities, weapon and defenses.
I clicked them both to see their group wireframe: its the same. But individually, one of them has a Tal'Darim wireframe!
I've noticed sometimes the dependencies don't apply correctly and a couple units (usually the factory for me) are still using the old models. You'll have to manually go in and change it back to the way you want. In your case, you might have to delete the mothership morph part and remake it.
Make sure Only void campaign mod is selected in dependencies. Any of the "multi" mods are incompatible with the campaign mod and will cause massive breaks.
It is worth noting that the Mothership Core is a melee unit and not a campaign unit. In Legacy of the Void you are not given the option to train a Mothership Core, only a Taldarim Mothership (instead of Carriers or Tempests). This is probably why it is so broken/not working correctly because no one tested if the Mothership Core could still upgrade into a Mothership and only that the Mothership could be trained in.
You might have to remove a few actor events. Specifically try reverting the Mothership actor to Heart of the Swarm or Legacy of the Void base. This will hopefully remove all the Legacy of the Void campaign stuff which is used to convert it to a Taldarim version.
I tried to find what you are talking about, and I failed.
I typed in 'mothership' in the actor's tab to search through all the dependancies, and the only upgrade to mothership related actors were sound actors.
I also have this problem. Did anyone who was capable of reproducing it find a way to fix it, and if so, could you please provide detailed steps?
Edit: Thanks DrSuperEvil. For any who come across this thread, find the unit soa mothership v4 and in the linked items select the actor (or just go straight to the actor in that tab), in the Events, delete everything referencing the Mothership Core (and if you want to clean it up a bit, also delete the things that turn green when you do, since these are all based on the Core events).

Help.
I've ran a test just now.

Just ran a different test.
I made a custom Morph to Mothership ability and gave it to the core. It still transformed into the weird Khalai Tal'Darim ship thingy.
So, I went and reset the mothership unit. That didn't do it either.
Another test.
The problem appears to be from morph abilities in general. This, I've confirmed.

You mean, what dependencies?
Only Void Campaign.

What. Did I not already say that I've made a custom morph ability, gave it to the core and the exact same thing happened?
Besides, a user cant deleted whats with blue text, cause its made by Blizz.
Check the Actor: Model then. it might be set to the wrong art model.

Sounds like a problem with the events.
Seems to do a model swap when the WarpInEffect buff is on.

Its not from there. Everything is as Blizzard set it to be.
Also, I already made a Core, a Khalai Mother and Tal'Darim one and placed them all side by side when starting the Morph. It was not from the Actors!
Ehm... I did not mingle with any events...
And if it did do a model swap, then why does the Khalai ship still show up when the Tal'Darim one comes up?

With the mothership morph there are 7 actors associated with the warping in animations. Some of those near the end look like the generic mothership.

Look up SOA Mothership v4.
Unlike older campaigns that used upgrades for the campaign limitations LOTV used catalog triggers.
