With my recent project of the with the tauren space marine I decided to create the Tauren Stomp ability to add a little flash in the movie.
Here is what I want my ability to do. On cast. Make the caster jump in the air (I'm thinking Modify height, so two of those one lift the other drop +1 -1) and I want that if there are units in the radius around the caster that they get punted away too. So I figured a Search area and an apply behavior for the life and drop. And I created a damage too.
I think everything is linked up pretty good. But somehow its not working right. I don't have a lot of exp. with actors so I'm guessing that could be part of it. I'm pretty sure I tuned the search filters correctly but the caster still gets hit so I'm wrong somewhere.
Could someone point me in the right direction? I'll be checking tutorial's. Thanks guys.
EDIT: Just changed caster unit/point to caster point in damage.
Look at the ability of the pheonix. For raising and lowering units it is better to use a behaviour of the Buff type or a Modify Unit effect since that results in a more smooth transition. With the pushing units away I advise looking at the HybridC - Psionic Shockwave ability of Hybrid Maar.
