I am trying to make it so Zerglings spawn instead of Larva which I have achieved. I went in and altered the "Hatchery-Spawn Larva : Stats Limit" To allow for more zerglings. It however stops at 24 Zerglings (The Maximum amount of larva you can have after injecting with the queen) any idea on how to make this higher? I need at least 200 or so
Could possibly be hard coded into the game. I remember playing with this ages ago.
Try having a look at the behaviours which a hatchery has. One of them might link to a requirement or validator which limits the number of larvae it may support at anyone given time. If I remember better than I think I do, it might even be contained within the Create Persistent>Spawn Unit effects. Let me know what you uncover.

There should be an advanced field that says Larvae spawn max limit, change it from 24, mine is set to 50.
Theres an advance field on the behavior or something, you can change limit there
I see that TaintedWisp said the same thing I did 10seconds apart!? Fail...
I dont see an advanced field anywhere... If you are talking about the "Stats: Limit" Field in the Behavior for "Hatcher-Spawn Larva" I already changed that and it doesn't work. I went in game and tested it and it still stops at 24 zerglings even though I increased it to 30, or 50 or 500
Edit:
For what reason do you want so many larvae? You could bypass the Hatchery Larva system and create your own unit spawning system, whereby the units are leashed to a certain structure - much like larvae...
I dont need larva as much as I need the Hatchery Building (looks the best for what im trying to achieve) the larva werent needed so me turning the Larva into zerg kills 2 birds with 1 stone. 1.) gives me the zergling spawn I needed and 2.) gets rid of the larva I dont need. Thanks for the help guys
I was joking :p... Adding 200 offsets manually would be a thankless task and creating a Behaviour>Persistent>Create Unit would be infinitely quicker than remoulding the larvae mechanics to your needs.
The spawn behaviour has a requirement that limits the number of spawns through normal means while the Stats: Limit field limits the max number of spawns per unit.

You have to add more offsets for the spawn to work. Look under the offset field.
@Spoolofwhool: Go
where is the offset field
Ok found the offset field. But lets say I want 200+ zerglings does that mean I have to add 200+ offsets? each with a different number?
@Cabalistlbb: Go
Yes. Told you it was hard-coded.
I win :3

This is correct.....
nothing is hard coded..... when i first started I wrote a tutorial for this on a different web site. Ill try and find it for you
