To my knowledge, it cannot be done. SC2 uses files called "Banks" to store and load information, however, you cannot freely choose their file type. They are XML files, storing specific data you choose, like integers, booleans or more complex data like units. Of course, you can save your string to a bank and load it up again.

Hey I was playing this map the other day, that it has this function of keep your experience every time you LEAVE THE GAME.
So I believe, SC2 map can do write and read string function from other files / database?
can some1 please let me know how can it be done?
