one last question... how can i get this extracted file to play through the sound emitter? i have import the file to my map editor but i cant seem to do anything with them
..... you open up the sounds tab in the data editor, right click -> add new sound -> double click the sound assets field-> right click the empty space -> add sound -> select your sound -> voila
Is it possible to add audio from a dialog that took place in a mission?
i wanted to add the dialog between the Thor and the marine (from zergling evo mission HOTS) but i cant find dialog files anywhere

EDIT: Got it using MPG extractor on the HOTS MPG assets file under campaigns
window->console->"browse" -> search for asset name -> export, but yes your way worked as well.

how can i do that? ive never created a sound from scratch before. (couldnt find a tutorial anywhere)

i get as far as the select your sound step.... it wont show my sound files.
Turns out i just had to reload the editor.
