Galaxy RPG
It's a map to show my RPG system. Currently it's a 12 players Dota type map for testing purposes (1 player play possible). Allready Implemented:
- custom GUI
- custom leveling
- custom stats
- custom skills
- custom items
- shop
- save/load system
- revive for heros
This map is Dota style only for test purposes and it will be redone in a ORPG and Dota will remain as minigame.
Looking forward for feedback, bug raporting, ideas and people who want to help or need it. Map is Localizated so u won't have displaying values in game problem. (MOVIE IS FROM OLD VERSION SOON NEW WILL BE MADE)
I know skills need to be balanced and redone and they will be. But atm i'm restricted to 12 places in command card. 3 are left for actions like atackmove patrol and hold position so i have only 9 left for skills. I plan to add a custom skill comand window but it is a little hard to do with functionality i want to add to it. I made skills as fast as i could and they are not so great atm but when i gona have some time i will make them a little more rewarding. And stats will be changed to to some kind of stats tree.
The map could use some flair! The system is solid and very nice and user friendly, but the skills and stats are pretty plain.
It's hard to be excited about leveling when you know all your going to get is +1 speed. It also might be better for 5 levels in each skill and twice as many skills. Leveling up a skill would be more interesting if higher levels granted added utility. For example. Instead of Magic missile increasing by 1 damage every level.
I would be super excited about leveling a skill like that.
Usually returning True means function worked correctly. It's all u need to know here :)

sorry if im a little lost, but damn there is so much new stuff to learn ^^
JacobNielsen it's used when u make new trigger definition (not a trigger) it can return some value as in C. And i always return True as bool variable. I had problem when trigger definition did't returnet any value and it is reason why i make it.
hey Zaratulius, i love you map, and have study some of the triggers, i can understand most of it, duo to it is almost the same as warcraft 3 editor, but there is one action i dont understand, i hope you can tell me what it dose.

franck17 thx a lot now i know where the problem is. For now just save and load game when u start and then all should be fine. I will repair this error in next version.
Lifesteal is going to be nerfed next patch. I think i will add more playes next version. And i testes revive last hour and it works fine now.
nice, just need some fixes (lifesteal >_>) and more players! :P

For the revive, still the same problem, cannot load once the hero is dead and he does not revive... dunno if it help but when I try to load(in the same game or in the next one) it says : Trigger error in ''gt_LoagGame_Func'' : Could not get ''bank'' from parameter in ''(value: )''
I made revive system today and it is a little buged. I'm working in it atm

The only thing is when I die, it says my hero is saved and when I wait the coutdown, my hero does not revive and a trigger error pops in the screen. Even if I reload the game and ''load'' my character, the stats are loaded but the unit just disapear.
i played it just a sec ago and it works.. maybe u are doing something wrong
Tried tu start it 5 times, always freeze and bug during the loading screen.
I will add actor change for 2 player to my "To do list"
Is there any way to make creeps more different ?
Sometimes I get circled because I do not really see which creeps are mine and which are not.
Most expensive Weapon makes 2 atacks at once so it deals 1-10 damage twice each time adding your dmg bonus so it is best weapon. Load/Save system will move hero acros difrent maps of my rpg. Right now i'm not in optimalizating too much current gameplay becouse dota type will be only added as a minigame. I will send u PM about colaborating.
Amazing Map. The most Expensive Weapon has an error, gives you an item with only 1-10 damage (Swords). Would love to see Multiple Units/Unit Selection, as well as Additional things to do in the map, other types of foes and what knot, would be nice to have a longer battle field distance.
Could awesome to make a DoTA type map, or even a Open/Free-Range RPG, even more so if you can use the same save/load character data across many maps.
If you're interested in collaborating, I don't have the Technical Trigger/Programming skills to help out, but I can do my best to create Terrain Maps, or even provide Idea Generation/Creativity Process.
