I would add this more as a feature than a bug. Sort of like toggling Hero minimap displays on/off in Launcher options. But I like it, could do more like a mini-map flash too when attacked
Yes, of course, it is a feature. Thanks. (Optionality = toggling additional features in Launcher options - is great solution.)
P.S.: in my case (with not good memory), it is problematic on some maps (for example, with several heroes) to remember where the current hero is now before clicking on its portrait (or pressing F2/F3/so on) and looking on the minimap.
P.P.S.: In my submod I also added minimap icons for Nydus canals (by the same reason).
