"Abathur has been able to restore originally lost Mutalisk genes allowing his Mutalisks to morph into Guardians and Devourers. Izsha's Mutalisks can also morph into Guardians, however the process of gaining this ability is different. While on Zerus, Izsha incorporated the Primal Guardian genome into her Mutalisks, allowing them to morph. Because of this, both her Mutalisk and her Guardian have traits of Primal Guardians, such as the notable colorful curved stripes on back or wings."
