CCF Poker Tower Defense

Hello everyone, CreepColony Forums Poker Tower Defense is a map that I released last year in April and I finally got around to making an SC2Mapster page for it.

The game is highly customizable, but at its core it's a Tower Defense where each Tower you have is only as strong as the cards that created it. Between each wave each player can place down one Tower. They will then receive 5 cards (made up of only numbers 7-10 and face cards J-A) and a preview of the the tower that will be created based on their hand. Players can switch each card for a new one in order to try to get a better hand and thus a stronger Tower. When all players are ready, the wave will begin and normal enemies or a boss will travel the path. If the enemy reaches the end of the path, the player loses lives and should they run out the game will end for them. The length of the game is determined by the settings confirmed by the host at the start.

As a side note, all the boss names and unit choices are based on members of our forums and their favorite units.

It is in its final version, so while I do not have plans to add in new features, any bug reports or feedback will help a lot!

Standard Options
Difficulty

- Casual: Start with 20 lives. 25 Waves. Enemies have 80% extra HP.
- Normal: Start with 10 lives. 50 Waves. Enemies have 50% extra HP.
- Hard: Start with 5 lives. 75 Waves. Enemies have 30% extra HP.
- Brutal: Start with 1 life. 100 Waves. Enemies have no extra HP.
- Insane: Start with 1 life. 100 Waves. Extra Enemy HP begins at 80% and drops down to 50%, 30%, and 0% decreasing every 25 waves.

Game Mode

- Survival: Each player is on their own, has their own lives, and gameplay continues until all players lose or the game is won.
- Team: Each player is on the same team, they all share lives, can build in each others' areas, and gameplay continues until the lives run out or when the game is won.
- Versus: Each player competes against each other, has their own lives, and gameplay continues until all but one player dies or is determined by the highest score when the total number of waves is completed.

Advanced Options

- Enemy HP %: Determines the HP bonus or penalty for all enemies.
- Number of Waves: Determines the number of waves until the game ends.
- Starting Lives: Sets the number of lives each player or the team starts with.
- Time Between Waves: Sets the amount of time to build a tower before the next wave begins.
- Life Bonus: If enabled, players or the team will gain an additional life after each wave they complete.
- Double Draw: If enabled, players are able to redraw each card twice instead of once.
- Upgrades: Enables Towers to be upgraded. Each Tower can have their Attack Speed, Range, or Damage increased, but only two upgrades can be applied to each Tower (Either the same upgrade can be upgraded twice to level 2 or two different upgrades can be upgraded to level 1). Upgrades cost 10 minerals each.
- Minerals per Wave: If Upgrades are enabled, sets the number of minerals that are awarded for completing a wave.
- Enemy Amount: Determines the number of enemies per wave on non-boss waves.
- Turbo Mode: Sets the movement speed of enemies, allowing enemies to move quicker to make games shorter.
