posted a message on Health Resets to Default Value When Ingame

I don't believe so. I'm modifying the Medic and Merc Team Marauder. They both start with less health than they should, as indicated in the editor.

posted a message on Health Resets to Default Value When Ingame

This occurs on two of my maps, where I've changed the health of a unit in the editor, but it doesn't get changed when you play the game. One returns to the default Max and Starting values, while the other only reverts to the Starting values. ???

Just thought I would state for anyone else having this problem that it can be solved by changing the Physics Type of the model to 'Never'.

I tried following that tutorial, but I got completely lost when he asked me to open that folder using the MPQ editor. It would just look inside of the folder that I was trying to open.

posted a message on (Solved) Zhakul'Das Library Selection Issues

I've tried increasing the selection radius on the model, but it doesn't help. I've even just used the supply depot as a very brief test where the 'lowered' supply depot is the 'lowered' zhakul'das library, and the 'raised' supply depot is the raised library, but used all other stats, including the supply depot model info. Soooo I think it's the model; that makes sense. However... GSL Bel'Shir Beach has a lowered one that works perfectly. The map is also protected and not available for download. That REEEAAALLY irritates me haha

posted a message on (Solved) Zhakul'Das Library Selection Issues

I was looking through the forums and was surprised to find that noone has asked regarding the strange behavior of the Zhakul'Das Library model when it assumes its 'disk' form. Is the solution just completely obvious, or is no one really concerned? The problem I'm speaking of is that when you tell the Zhakul'Das Library model to "lower", it's selection radius decreases immensely for no reason. I need help.

It would likely slow your game to a much greater degree than if you were to use the Data Editor instead.

posted a message on handle actor orphan?

I know of an option, but I'm unsure if you'd like it. What you could do is create and store the splat as it's own actor, using triggers, and then update it's position if the building moves. You can then remove the actor using triggers when the condition you're looking for is met; ie, death of the original building. I'd recommend a Function for this that takes the parameters of the building, newly created actor, and whatever else you might need. Good luck!

You can hide the Game UI completely for individual players. Would that work?

posted a message on "Order Is Valid" Confusions

I have a simple trigger that scans a complex map for a random point, and then uses an 'Order Is Valid' condition that tests a 6x6 structure. It works probably 85% of the time or so perfectly, but occasionally the game will say that an area completed surrounded by doodads is "valid" despite the fact that in game, if you try and use the ability, it is not. What am I doing incorrectly? Is this just a quirk of the editor?
