I tried to find this once when the game was in the beta stage and wasn't able to find it, so where exactly would I be able to change the tooltip/name of the game's resources?
So in my map I have unit that is not an SCV as your main builder, there seems to be a visual bug however in that he doesn't use any sort of animation when building structures, he walks around the building he's constructing but doesn't seem to do anything else. How would I make the unit use an attack animation or another animation while he's building similar to an SCV?
Figured out the validator thing, but regardless if the player has enough resources to meet the cost or not the persistent effect doesn't seem to stop, and it's bugging out... So I may find a way around it just to get through the pain in the ass, aw well its late I'll deal with it tomorrow cause I'm to tired.
I have a structure that is supposed to periodically reveal an area with a size of 120 around it, no problem with the periodic reveal, however it can't seem to reveal that exact size, there seems to be a limit to the size of the area the effect can reveal. I also tried to reveal the area via a trigger that would activate whenever the ability was used as so.
Visibility - Reveal (Region((Center of Region 001), 120.0)) for player 1 for 2.0 seconds and Do Not check cliff level
This didn't work either, it was also limited the same way the effect was (which I'm going to guess is around the size of 30-40.)
I'll try revealing a region that is the proper size and get back to you, hope that explanation was a bit better than before.
I'm having an issue with revealing a large area of 120 on the map, for some reason there seems to be a specific limit. I've tried doing it through both triggers and in the data editor but I can't seem to get that big of a region to reveal.
Anyone off the top of your head able to think of a way to charge the resource cost of a unit over a specified time? I was thinking behaviors but I'm not sure.
EX) Player purchases a unit that costs 100M 1000V and takes 10 seconds to build. So it would charge the cost of 100M and 1000V over 10 seconds, if the player doesn't have enough resources available the construction would pause until there are enough resources available.
Hmm, I'll check into it, just had an idea though now that I thought about it. I'm gonna check the carriers build interceptor ability and see if I can find something that may help.
Would it be possible to have units built by another unit placed in the building unit's Cargo? Then able to release them all at will, similar to how a carrier works.

How exactly would I create a validator that detects resources? I went through them and couldn't find one that did that already.

Is it possible for a Periodic effect to cost resources each time it occurs and deactivate if the cost can't be met?

Nah I don't care about cliffs or anything, it's meant to reveal just a massive area around the structure.
Also I tested it via trigger where it would reveal a region with the proper size, it wouldn't reveal the entire region.
