    Tournaments will be global when Blizzard gets their systems together and makes Battle.net region free, something they are working on.

    I have decided to setup a tournament, seeing vjeux had to cancel the last one.
    The tournament will be in two weeks, just to give people time to set up teams and practice. The date will be September 11th at 4 PM Paris time (7 AM San Francisco, 10 AM New York)

    The tournament will be casted live by yours truly on the Custom Live stream.
    The cash prizes are sponsored by me, and the Curse premium by SC2Mapster

    I hope this will bring more interest in custom maps, so everyone who can should sign up.

    Game Mode

    • Map: Nexus Wars (version is still being checked, but the newest one on EU is called Nexus Wars US and is hosted by Doccrazy)
    • 4 vs 4

    Map Preview

    Here is a map preview by HuskyStarcraft, this is of a older version of the map so most bugs have been sorted out, this video just explains what is the goal.

    Entry

    • You have to have an available EU account.
    • Your team must be registered 6 hours before the tournaments starts.
    • You need to be online 30 minutes before your match.
    • Post your Battle.net IDs here

    Posting format:

    Team Name - Custom Live

    Player #1 (Captain) - Tinman.568

    Player #2 - OtherPlayer.123

    Player #3 - AnotherOne.456

    Player #4 - AndOneMore.789

    Prizes

    • First: $250,00 and 1-year Curse Premium
    • Second: $50,00 and 6-month Curse Premium
    • Third: 3-month Curse Premium
    • Participation: 1-month Curse Premium

    Prizes will either be given to team captain or split among team members.
    Prizes will be sent over PayPal so make sure you have an account.
    All team members will get the curse premium prize.
    If a team member is not registered when prizes are given out, they will not be able to receive the curse premium prize.
    Prizes will be sent on the first coming Monday (13th) to the winners.

    Tournament Brackets

    This will be a single elimination tournament with a match for 3rd place between semifinal losers.
    When entries close all teams will be added to a bracket that will be available for public view.

    We had a great show tonight lasting for about 6 hours and I saw the viewers peak at 160+ so I am really happy with that.
    I hope to get a tournament going soon so if you have any suggestions on what to play post below!

    This might be a wild idea, and probably take a whole lot of time, but it could be possible to convert the doodads into units. That way you can remove random stuff.
    It should be possible, but it would take allot of time, though it depends on how many doodads you use.

    Well I don't know how to do it, but as I have learned over my years as a coder: "Nothing is impossible, you just need to know how to make it possible."
    And that also applies to the galaxy editor, nothing is really impossible, you just need to figure out how to do it.

    But yeah you got the point, place allot more doodads, but hide some random ones, not only will it make it so that the chasers cant "learn" the map, but the hiders can hide where a doodad should have been, like a toilet that does not show you can hide as a toilet there instead, that way it can make things more interesting.

    Maybe ask here on the forums if someone knows how its done.
    PS: My days as a coder has made me a problem solver ^^

    Maybe instead of random doodad placement, add a existence percentage to some doodads, that way it will be a random amount of doodads so people can't go by counting the doodads and know a player is there, that will also fix the pathing issue as you place them out first and then tell them that, you only have 50% to even exist, some may have 10% and some may have 100% to exist.

    Just an idea ;)

    Live Game Night tomorrow (Friday 27th) at 16:00 UTC (18:00 CET/GMT+2 - 11:00 EST)
    Make sure to tune in on the live show, and also get your maps suggested!
    As always we will try to play as many maps as possible, we will be taking questions and requests during the sow.

    OH! And I have set up my laptop with a studio (yeah!) and my own computer with a working streamer and sound (!), that way we can have multiple cameras that we can switch between.

    He did fix the loading screen, I think he said the map is 2,5 now instead of 6,5.

    We also did play Fringe, we played the map to the finish, though 3 people dropped we managed to finish it.

    The live stream should no longer be capped at 50 users.
    Though its now limited to... unlimited amount :P

    That means everyone gets the chance to watch, no one can hijack slots and what not, tournaments will be EPIC, and our game nights will be incredible.

    Oh, yeah, I am awake now so I will start streaming again when I have gotten some food ;)

    I will look at the map when this Battle.net issue is fixed, searching and stuff like that is totally messed up for me and even restarting the game does not work. I have no idea what they have done but its not working.

    I did play your map again later against the AI when the bug was supposed to be fixed (it was still not), I like Golem Wars maps, but its hard to understand what to do if all the description is just param/value/65784645

    I will load it up after this break and play it if I manage to find it with this bug going on...
