Thats why you practice and play with a predefined team over a VoIP service, this is a map where you can evolve by practicing, its a easy map to learn but hard to master, and in my opinion thats exactly how all maps should be, whats the fun in a map if you can just spam marines as a tactic ;)

The map is sort of like poker, you don't choose what cards you want to play with in poker, that would be silly, you need "luck" and skill, but probably most importantly cooperation with your team members.

I already own a host, hosting this does not require much, and I have gotten some really good deals from some companies I have been in touch with before.
So the hosting is already payed for the next 20 years or so, something I bought like 5 years ago, I have like 5 domains on it now so its not a problem.

The only thing I would love help with funding is the tournaments, I am talking with allot of companies for sponsorships, but if you know about a company that might be interested please send me a PM about it, and I could talk with them also. And if anyone can spare some $ at all (anything is something, and something helps a long way ;) ) that would also be great.

Alright, last show was pretty short due to the lack of new map submissions and suggestions/recommendations.
As said earlier I have set up a page now dedicated to take map suggestions and I urge people to use that as its allot easier to see the suggestions, they are also sorted the other way placing new at the top, making it even better.
You can find the page here, just look at the already posted suggestions to get an idea on how to do it, there is also a little information above on the page also.
    http://www.sc2mapster.com/teams/c-l/pages/map-suggestions/

I am working on a suggestion form where you can type in map name, upload the map and set it as private, it will then e-mail it to me with the details keeping the map private for testing only (not needed just optional), you can also type in a description, and why we should play the map on the show.

There will also be a semi dynamic list that will update with the current suggestions sent in through the application form, with that we can see a easy list of maps to try and also check them as played and in what show they were played, that way if you wanted to see a particular map played and its already been played you can find out what episode it is in.

This is sill a work in progress, and I am not the best of scripters in the world so its taking some time to finish, if you do have a good knowledge about this stuff though contact me if you want to help out, it will most likely only be php and SQL with integration between the two, server is already set up to handle it, just need the code and database set up for it. Then use a iFrame on this page: http://www.sc2mapster.com/teams/c-l/pages/map-suggestions/
    to implement it with ease.

    Basically like this:
This page gets a link to a php form: http://www.sc2mapster.com/teams/c-l/pages/map-suggestions/
The php form has some fields where you can enter your nick, e-mail, map name, map version (optional), upload map (optional), map description (optional but recommended) and a captcha for safety reasons.
When sent it adds it to the SQL database and sends me a e-mail notification with the form and a link to accept it, when I accept it adds a 1 in the database in a accepted field, when the php list sees that it gets added to the list, this is to prevent spam and other inappropriate stuff.
When the map is accepted and on the list it can be seen by everyone.
When a map has been played I can go into a administration panel and set show number and date on it, it will then be marked as played and sorted under un-played maps, still sorted by date of submission, I can also accept or remove maps from the administration panel.

With that it would be easier for me to see what maps to play, what we have played and what is suggested, its also easier for everyone else to see what has been played, and what is going to be played also when a map was played and where to find the episode it was played in.

So as you can see there is allot of changes being made, all for the better I would hope, so again if you are skilled with php and SQL please contact me as I would love all the help I can get!

Thanks for all your support and I will be seeing you guys this Friday at 6PM CET!

PS. I will also be getting a domain name for custom live, and maybe a dedicated site for it, I will still be using SC2Mapster of course its mostly to hold the forms and such so you wont need to go on multiple websites.

PPS. Domain is bought, should be sc2cls.com thats short for StarCraft2 Custom Live Show ;)
Right now its just parked, but I will get some placeholder stuff up soon.

I am sorry to say this, but I need to inform all the winners:

My PayPal account is currently overdrawn, this means that I will not be able to send anything out before the 1st of next month.
I have sent in a request to upgrade my account to a Premier account increasing the limit to a much greater value as I use PayPal for everything that supports it.

The payments are sent in the way that they are pending, and they will be sent guaranteed on the 2nd next month or if I get verified as a Premier account.

(my current limit is $10.000 I though it was unlimited as I was verified, but due to regulations in my country it must be limited until I get a Premier account approved with governmental issued ID and shit...)

I hope this wont discourage future Tournaments entries as this is likely to be a one time only issue, and I need to verify my limits before I go spending my money on stuff...
Hope you all understand and that your prize is on the way, though the way is longer then promised it will eventually come!

In only 9 hours and 55 minutes from this post the next live show will start.
For people who have not figured out yet I have set up a page where you can "submit" and suggest maps, and post other comments, this way its easier to sort out instead of reading through PMs and Replies here.
Still if you have a "secret" map that you just want to show the community you can either e-mail me or PM me, those details are also on the page.

Here are the current pages set up.
The main page has quick links to all of them, or you can click the pages button in the navbar.

    Main page

    Map Suggestions

    Live Stream

    The Great Page of Thanks

Right now I think this is something I would want to do for a very long time, no show is ever the same, I get to play a bunch of great maps and meet a bunch of great people. Would be nice to go big and pro with this to get as much attention around custom maps and the mapping community as possible, as of right now I do this only for my love and passion for custom maps!

I am setting up some team pages for Custom Live that I hope will make things easier to manage, I might actually script up some fancy stuff at a later date for map suggestions and so on.

But for now a simple reply on the right page is all we need ;)
When you go to the below link there will be a button called Pages at the top where you can see all the pages, right now there are just a few, the main page, live stream and map suggestions, I will add most links to the main page for easy access and also a "back" button on all the sub pages so eventually it would be very nice and user friendly to brows around in.

Here is the link to the main page, still quite empty but you can post replies there with thoughts, suggestions or general chit chat.
    http://www.sc2mapster.com/teams/c-l/pages/main/
You can also donate, all donations are greatly appreciated and will be used to fund future tournaments, you and/or your crew/company/gang/ or w/e you donate on behalf of will obviously get a shutout on our live shows and also be listed on a thanks to page if desired.

I want to thank everyone for their support once again, and I hope we would be able to continue with this for a terribly terrible long time.

I will start getting in contact with all the winners, I thought the easiest way to do this is through in-game chat, that way we can prevent any form of scam if that was to occur.
I will add all the winners to my friends list and check it regularly during the afternoon, you can also send me a message in-game on Tinman.568
I have all your names and IDs so just pop me the PayPal details and I will send you your prize ASAP!

Thanks for everyone that attended, replays will be uploaded and probably commentated live on a later show.

Congratulations to team "Bleh" for winning the tournament!

Due to technical difficulties (the map does not work properly with spectators) this will not be a live show.

What we will do instead is this:
Each match will be played with the same rules (No fog, 15 sec income)
The team with the lowest number on the brackets will create the game and invite the other team.
Play the match and send the replay to me on mail ([email protected]) or PM, with who wins the match.
With that I can change the brackets quickly and people will be able to play the next round as fast as possible.
The replays will be saved, and we will show them at a later date, then maybe also with more casters.

I have been in contact with all the Captains except for:
    Mansha
    currey

I will have to re-arrange the brackets and put those two in the last game in round one.

The brackets thingey should auto update with the changes.

The brackets are now closed and no more teams will be allowed to sign up.
    Here is the public bracket:

If there is something wrong about the brackets, or you have any questions please reply below.
I wish all the teams good luck, and I hope there will be a minimum of technical difficulties.

There will definitely be more Tournaments in the future, I am working on some funding stuff so that I can hand out bigger prizes and more prizes.

If anyone got any suggestions about how to get some extra cash, or know someone that could consider sponsoring this it would be sweet. With more tournaments and bigger prizes the custom games will get a shit load more people to it, and get more organized with teams and such.

Anyways, from my counting we have about 8 teams or so now, I will be sure when I put the brackets in tomorrow morning, I will post here with a link for the brackets so you can see who you all are facing of against and also get some sense on when your match will start.

PS. The map should support AI, they are not the brightest or best, but its something to train against, warm up and get the teamwork and tactics down ;)
