    Hey guys/gals I'm currently a bit lost. I followed an online tutorial by OneTwo about building towers etc, but i appear to of missed something, but for the life of me i cant work out what it is or where i have gone wrong.

    The issue is, I've created a tower, and a builder, all show up in game and work, apart from a few sounds problems, but when i am in game, the Build Sructure Button on the command card has gone. In the Data editor its their, with it leading to the submenu 2, and that has the tower their. But it just doesnt show up in game.

    Can anyone shed a bit of light on this for me.

    Perfect, i notice in the Variables, you have put in Last Wave = 4

    Is this the last wave? And how do i go about adding more, say 25 waves?

    Yes something similar.

    Based of the timer is good, its exactly how i want it. But my map will use 8 spawning regions, where in the first wave there will be spawning 40 units. Each region will spawn 5 units, not at the same time, but 1 after the other, with about 1-3 seconds between each unit. So 1 unit will spawn at every region, then the next unit will spawn at every region about 1-3 seconds later. Once the full 40 have been killed, the timer starts again. I had some triggers done, but im lost with the ones i have? Are you able to incorporate what i need with the 8 regions in the map you gave me? Then i can see what/where i've gone wrong with mine.

    Hey guys/gals

    Im currently looking for someone to help me with some triggers.

    Im wanting it to be based of a timer, so ill tell you how the game plays. When the map starts there will be a 30 seconds countdown for players to build their base. Then when the 30 seconds reaches 0 untis will spawn to destroy the players bases. When all the adds are dead in that wave the timer starts again, and so on and so on... The only catch is, every wave doubles the size of the first one. So wave 1 is 40, then next wave is 80 etc etc. Is anyone able to help me out with this?

    lol dam i miss read that. I've got a good idea for a terrain, but with the contraints of not been able to modify the terrain, or create my own map for this WTE, i might just create a map and just share it, and not enter it into the comp.

    You said we cant Remove any of the terrain thats already their. But can we Modify it in anway, such as Widen/ shorten the river? increase the size of the cliffs?

    How I could see this kind of working is that you have multiple maps that all share the same resources as well as banks. One map would be Stormwind and the surrounding areas and another map would be Ironforge and it's areas. This would allow the world to appear larger and add more quests and dungeons. As for dungeons I think you'd have to add them into the map. Which means if you had a Deadmines, it would have to be part of the Stormwind map.

    For larger group dungeons or raids you could make them their own separate map that players have to join.

    yeah i agree, but how would we go about doing something like that? Has anyone herd of anything like map linking been done, or attempted??

    Map transitions are not possible at this time. You can do it while using the editor, but for maps on Bnet, it does not function.

    Any reason why it doesnt work at the moment on bnet?

    And i deff think this is the way forward for RPG's/MMO's on Bnet.

    So I was thinking whilst watching the WoW Terrain showcase Click here to see the Thread. I wonder how possible it is, to create an MMO within the editor.

    Is it possible to link 1 map to another. so lets call these Maps Zone and instances, I know that obviously you can create quite a few Zone on one of the largest map sizes, But to create an MMO im assuming you would need to have a larger map, so this is where the map linking comes in, if its possible?? So if it is possible, obviously the game would need to transport the players character from 1 map to another, keep all items, XP etc etc which i know is possible to save those. But then is it possible to do all that, but also add another player to the same map if they choose to go into that zone.

    so for example....

    Player A joins game at Map 1 then they decide to enter a zone which is situated in Map 2 they enter. Player B decides 10mins later the want to join Player A in Map 2 so they enter Map 2 and are then able to join Player A in Map 2.

    Is this possible?

    and also my last question, How similar do you think the Galaxy editor is to what Blizzard use, to create the Terrain and data for WoW its self?

    Hey Guys/Gals,

    Before i go into my main issue, i just want to ask a couple of questions... 1. How many units do you think can be on the map at once, with out causing huge Lag? 2. How do I limit how many units can be on the map, so as to reduce lag and incorporate it into the trigger below.

    I'm currently working on a map that will spawn units every 1 seconds from 8 different Regions. But im a little stuck on how to make a really good trigger for it.

    At the moment the triggers i have in placed are really simple and probably bugged and full of leaks. So im just looking for some guidance on how to make this Trigger work better.

    The way the system will work is... Players have 30 Seconds at the start of the game to Build up their forces. Once the timer window reaches 0, Wave 1 starts and 1 Unit at each spawn location will spawn every 1 second of game time, unitll Wave 1's unit limit is reached which in Wave 1 is 40. Once the 40 units are dead, then the timer starts again for 30 Seconds then Wave 2 starts which is double the amount of units so instead of 40 units its 80.

    Is anyone able to shine some light on how to make this trigger work, and show me a way to create it. Thanks all :D
