Any chance you'll ever release the .m3as? It would probably be quite a time saver.

After I release the video I will put some of them up for you guys.

Yeah, I know. I wrote it all. I'm not a writer so of course its going to suck. Our new project is actually well written (by someone else). Its why I stopped doing HasuCraft because no matter how good it is on a technical level, it won't make up for the poor writing. If you know any writers..please let me know. :)

Before I begin here is an example of Zerg voice editing I did.

You'll need some sort of professional software to do this. I used mostly Waves plugins. The bulk of getting to sound that was is Ultra Pitch. You basically just split the voice into several pitches. I also think I added some subtle flange into there to give the vocals some movement. Other things include EQ, delay, reverb, and compression on the vocals to even out the dynamic range and give it a sence of space. Delay because outdoors your voice bounces off objects more harsh, and reverb because it gives it some stereo width and even outdorrs has some reverb because like I said, sounds bounces off of objects around you.

Hello to everyone here at mapster! I'm a machinima (not the youtube channel) filmmaker. I used to do a lot of live action stuff, but where I live sucks for film and makes it pretty much impossible for the time being. I love video games and film, so why not combine them?

I see that other people are showcasing their work, so why not showcase mine? These are all complete projects, or work in progress.

    Episode Two

That's all for now. Thanks for viewing and watching, I'd love to know your thoughts. And if there is any 3d modelers out there I'd love to work with you! I like custom models and assets a lot. Using the stock stuff gets old.

Well I'm creating my own show and looking for people to do everything but write. I animate, I recently recruited a mapper, and I've got a guy who can do basic retexturing for models.

Do you want to help animate my show?

I love this by the way:

Edit: Actually, my main focus is writing. I would love to touch up a script or try my hand at writing out an idea you have.

I'd be interested in seeing how you are at writing. :) As for animating is it with 3d programs and custom animations?

I have a nice experience in each item, so, you can count on me.

Nice to see you are interested in modeling again. We also have a huge project in the works that may actually get you payed for your work.

Hello everyone. Over the past six months I have been working on series using the CSE called HasuCraft. Recently our studio went under a new name (Metagame) and I decided to go back through and revamp the series! Things are looking and sounding great.

    http://i.imgur.com/7gNjihW.png

However we still are in need of people who can make:

    • models
    • textures
    • animate
    • write

(By animate, I mean create custom animations specifically for certain dialogue or sequences.)

    http://i.imgur.com/UnBcfjK.png

Currently HasuCraft is the highest production value series to ever hit the Starcraft 2 scene. And if I can get more help doing things than just myself it could be even better!

We might be having a much bigger project and series after this that may lead to payed work.

For those of you who are curious, I also use other programs besides the cutscene editor. Adobe Audition for all of the audio and Adobe Premiere for additional editing and color grading.

posted a message on What do you listen to (while you map edit?)

Usually Drum and Bass, Jungle, or Trance. I'm a big fan of anything off of labels in the style of Good Looking. Nice and atmospheric. If not that TGS Podcast, or some other podcast related thing...or a documentary.

Also if you aren't sure of the specific words to use I think you can use numbers, like 0-3, or something like that.

posted a message on Having a camera rotate while moving?

Hello. I've been having a lot of trouble with the cameras in the cutscene editor. I can get cameras to pan (in a really halfassed way) but I cant make them rotate while doing so. Like say I wanted it to look at an object while moving around it, but without linking it to that object.

The camera angles in my video are decent, but I'd like more dynamic shots.

I'm wanting to do this all in the cutscene editor if possible.

Also is there a better way to make cameras pan than what I am doing? Basically, I create a target camera. Then create a path with two points. Next make a marine with walk animation. After that attach the camera to the marine, and make the marine hidden. I have a feeling there is an easier way to go about this. But this is the Galaxy Editor. nothing is simple. Ever.

posted a message on Cutscene Editor vs Map Editor

The cutscene editor is a love hate relationship. Because its really powerful (set up like an actual map editor) with the ability to move things around like you said. Creating precise pathing is really nice as well. And you also get to see most of what is going on without having to startup the game. But yes, scenes can get really complex, quick.

Here is what I have been able to do with ONLY the cutscene editor: (with all the actual editing done in Premiere)

And a timelapse with commentary while making the episode:

In the end, I do think that it is worth it. The only issue I'm really having is that some units wont go along their walk path, even with the walk animation selected properly and some gripes with the camera tools. Your best bet is to do a mix between stuff in the cutscene editor and your NLE.

And your gripes are warranted. Never have I worked with such a stupidly designed level editor. >.>

Hello, thanks for the tutorial! But I am having a bunch of issues and cannot get it to work. I'm trying to replace one of the BloodSplats textures to use a sponsor logo in place of it. I cannot for the life of me get it to work. What am I doing wrong?

Thankyou! We plan on it. I got another writer, and he has written episode 4 for me. Currently in the process of working in the cutscene editor. Doe not quite look as good as Crysis, but still not bad. It still needs some more tweaking here and there.
