This is just a terrible time to ask the question what I think about it, as I've been too busy raging about all the bugs and stuff. I'll give a legit answer when it's not buggy.
Ya, it's a pretty bland name, but it's just entering concept.
I have this trigger:
If it's not clear enough what I want, I want when the unit casts an ability for the ground to spike up, damage anyone in the area of the spike, then go back down. This just gives me a bunch of errors.
Abandoned:
Noone could give me an answer after multiple bumps and I've decided the ability doesn't fit my map well.
So, I want a unit to get a buff for 5 seconds after it decloaks. I got this accomplished by using triggers, but I don't want to have to use triggers. How would I accomplish it with the data editor?
Go into the Data Editor and create a new Effect of type "Apply Behavior" and make it apply your debuff. Don't forget to set the duration of your debuff to 5 seconds if you haven't done that already.
Go to the Behaviors tab and select your cloaking behavior (e.g. "Ghost - Cloak" for the ghost's cloaking) and add your newly created effect to the field "Effect - Final".
Every time the unit decloaks now, it'll get this buff.
I discovered it's impossible to change the Terrazine error message. So I changed it to Vespene.
To change any message, you go to the Text module and change to Data Source to All Data. Then just browse through there to find the message you want replaced and change it.
Now, the good news is, it would work... if the only way to remove a Zergling from play was to kill it. But unfortunately, that's not the case. There's an ability that takes every unit in the center, so the Zergling limit will stay at 200, but it's actually at 149 or something.

How do I destroy it? I looked around and only found kill model.

Can you explain this further? Like maybe give an example.

Well, I guess that's similar to what I want. But all I want is for 1 spike to jet out of the place where he targeted the spell, then recede.

Actually the second trigger's supposed to be - 2.0. I changed the trigger and forgot to reset it to negative.

Sorry, saw I forgot to put the image in and my internet shut down before I could.

Chat rooms, they need those.
To be honest, I prefer SC1 over WC3 b.net.

In a (failed) attempt to fix shit. Didn't work.

I got it. Changed the Integers to Unit Groups, removed the "killed" trigger, and changed the "spawn" trigger to this:
Thanks for the help.

And... how would I accomplish this?

And I decided to make a mass map. :\

So here are my triggers:
Spawns:
Of course, this is duplicated for 8 players.
Limit:
It continues down to player 8
