    Humor is one way to point out how something is logical/wrong. Religion isn't 100% logical/right so.....

    Men and women have been trained to act differently since day one. Different genders do things better/differently then each other, who is to say that doesn't effect a certain job? Not to mention, when businesses are forced(strongly encouraged) into hiring a certain gender, skin color, or race simply because they have to few of them doesn't help.

    it costs 15$ more because of something in the past that raised the price for games in Australia, which went away but the stores never lowered the prices. For got the reason, might of been an import tax.

    Is there a way to turn the selection circle for a unit on, when it isn't selected?

    I was thinking of adding a buff that attaches a circle, but then it is visible to enemies too.

    game links have little to no functions to dynamically set them.

    I am trying to attach an actor to a unit, but idk what actor until its ran. I can get the actor in a string, but not a game-link actor variable. Sadly it doesnt let you pass strings as gamelinks.

    AttachActorToUnit((UnitLastCreated()), "wowbase72", "Head") its a string!

    Im assuming sc2 doesn't allow dynamic code

    Only way i can think of is create a 1000 long if then else. Check if the string is equal to string(gamelink). Seeing as this trigger will run 1000s of times in a game, that wouldn't be good.

    Maybe there is another way to do what im trying to do. Im trying to change 1 unit's actor to be the same as a different units. (thus matching the model, sounds, and portrait)

    combat wise, little. it will be little easier to control units. you only need to worry about controlling a hero, and a 10 or so squads compared to 100 units. Unit spells will be controlled from the squad

    along with this change, combat stats are being redone, all units have different stats, races have strengths, game play is faster, and units are smaller so more then 6 melee fit on your front line.

    Were squads mainly come into play is the customization and strategy. As you play games and do achievements, you unlock creatures. Then you can customize your squads. One new thing to customize is there are leader units. The first leader unit in a squad will increase the squads stats, or give them an ability that effects the units in the squad. e.x. a dwarf sniper leader may give a 15% damage increase to all range units, or a human heavy footmen may give the defend ability from wc3 to all melee in the squad.

    Players will have 10 different squads, which they can change what they spawn throughout the game. People will be spawning 3 squads early game, and 4 to 7 late game depending on the squads cost. Squads all suit a purpose so they have weakness, allowing you to change what you spawn to counter what the enemies spawn.

    squads will take 1-2 weeks to finish, and the customization/unlockables will take a few weeks after that. for more info on how customization/unlockables will work and balance read http://brokenalliances.com/forums/showthread.php?11132-change-to-squad-based.     yes i know the glow can be seen by enemies. Couldn't think of a better way to show who was selected. Also who knows, knowing what your enemy currently has selected may add something to the game.

    Most, if not all imported wow models seem have this selection problem, some worse then others. Doing this for a few builds would be find, but to every unit would seem like it would tax the computer badly..

    I am having problems with which unit is selected/targeted when an order is issued with right mouse button. As in move to, and attack target unit orders.

    Problem seems to have something to deal with having big models and being scaled down. As if the area to click on them is the size of the unscaled model. In the SS were the red X is, if clicked there, you click on the building. This makes it imposable to pick up the item.

    Iv tried changing many fields but it only seems to effect how units are selected when you drag a box over them. selection layer and selection radius fields doesn't change how its selected with right click.

    Thank you for confirming what i thought. Now it looks like i was talking to my self wooot!

    i am creating a system that can recreate/generate terrain with triggers after the game started. As in you create the terrain, then the map generates the code to copy/paste into another map.

    All doodads are actually units (in the terrain being cloned, not the generated) So in order to clone it perfectly you need the model variation.

    example (the trees with health bars are of course the units, and the trees with out ones were generated by the code) These are just old test images

    Does mapster not have spoiler boxs?
