posted a message on Starjeweled for Research Help

I am a social psychology researcher and I am trying to use starjeweled for a research project. There are a few things that I need to change but I have never used a map editor before. I have tried and failed over and over to figure it out myself, reading blogs and searching for tutorials, but still coming up empty. I am in desperate need of some guidance and help. This could be instructions, tutorials, or someone with time that is willing to build it. This research project will be presented at a national conference and I would put the name of the people involved on the project (in psychology its worth recognition for your resume, maybe not so much for others but its all I have to offer)

    Things I need to change:

    1. Can I change the number of rounds to 3 instead of 5? Also, if they lose the first two, I would like them to still play all three rounds. Is there a way to keep it from stopping the game?

    2. I would like to change the number of available characters and their energy cost for each round. I am hoping to make three available characters: a Zealot, a ... I will actually be building 3 maps. One where all 3 characters are worth 100 energy. One where all 3 are worth 500 energy. and one where they are worth different amounts (100, 250, and 500). Can I change it from 8 to 3 characters? How do I change the energy cost?

    3. I need to eliminate the extra abilities (I'm not sure what they're called but they're lined up at the bottom where you select to reset the board). I would like to keep the option of resetting the board though.

    4. If it is possible to change settings for one round in a block? I would like the first round to be a practice round because most of my participants will not be familiar with the game, so is it possible to make rounds different difficulties in the same game? Like the first round easy and the others medium?

    5. Last thing, I would like to stop between the 2nd and 3rd round for a short time. Is there a way to make it pause after completion of a round?

    Thank you all!!!

    Tori
