posted a message on Baneball Trigger help needed

I am currently using a baneling as a ball for a personal mod I am working on. I am trying to get it to where whenever you hold space bar, it gradually gains speed and then if held too long, it flies out like a pinball. The only problem I'm having at the moment is whenever I just press the space bar and then let go, he still gains speed instead of staying at a consistent speed.

Could somebody take a look at my map and tell me what I'm doing wrong with it? Please and thank you.

Also, are there any tutorials on having a unit go a certain direction in an arc based on their speed?

That's exactly what I needed. Thank you very kindly.

And I din't mean Trigger. I meant where it was in Data Editor. LOL

I'm currently making a mod of SCII and I needed the Banling's roll for it. LOL

How would I go about making power generators for a forcefield and use the Sentrie's beam to make it look like it's being powered by pylons?

Nevermind. I figured it out on my own. LOL

How would I go about doing this? I'm thinking of having towers set up as sortof a force field generator for the bases on my map and to destroy the base, one must take out the towers and then attack base. Got any ideas?

I found a Next Map trigger. I wonder if this could be implemented into the CG without having a new loading screen. LOL

I bet there's a trigger that allows a map change. What could happen is somebody makes several versions of the same map with each new area taken out of the next and then have a brief CG of Banelings destroying the area and have some dust or something covering the camera while the maps change so that the player doesn't know the difference.

I like that idea. That way the map actually has sortof an advancement. The player would actually feel like they're making progress. :)

I've currently been working with triggers and I'd like to be of some help with this. I'm still pretty new, but I think that this is a great idea. XD

I went to SXSW and was not impressed at all by it. It was a waste of $30 bucks in gas money that in reality could have been used more wisely. The only reason I went was because it was a business trip and I was the only photographer in the group. LOL

So, the jest of it, I whole-heartedly agree with Vexal about how crappy it was.

From my own personal experience, you'll have to be more than just a level designer; your best bet would learn programming or be such a badass graphics/animation master that you stand out above everybody else. I agree with SkrowFunk, though. It might not be worth getting involved with. But, if you are seriously interested in doing this kind of work, my company is hiring. You won't get paid anything for the first couple months to a year depending on how our titles do. Beacon Gaming. Our website's not all that great, but if you like a fairly relaxed and overall fun environment to work in, you'd like us. All of our meetings are online on Ventrilo and we may need a good level designer.

Good point. It's kinda like when a game gets ported to Linux. Even though Linux is a really good gaming platform, most companies consider making games for it a waste of time. For me, it's the opposite...

Sorry, I don't mean to ramble. LOL

Makes sense. Basically, the game will only be up for a short time and if it doesn't get a good reputation within those two weeks, it's basically going to be classified as a failure by the Steam community and many game publishers, or at least is this what you mean?
