That might have more to do with it having very high armor and regeneration rate. Anything that is not upgraded will probably do so little damage it will regenerate faster than damage is done.
One think I noticed was the AOE spells were much more useful than anything else. Maybe I was just not using it correctly but the summon turret seemed worthless because you do not level up from its kills. So I would just save up all my level points and get the grenade to level 4 right when I unlocked it. This gave me the best chance at leveling Raynor.
As a note: I was playing by myself as I haven't had a chance to try it out with my friends yet. Seems like a cool map. I like that it is simple enough to jump right into but still fun. Nice work.
