Ty for all the replys/feedback! Had a week off from the project & didn't realize there was so many replys. ^,^

I will answer to ALL the questions in same post.

    Q&A:

Q: Nice, are you going to go with a system with multiple win conditions? Ie. you can win through getting the most tech, or though force (destroying enemy farms? if thats possible) etc.

Yes at the moment there is two win conditions: tech & force. In early game you can sabotage your enemy's farm, later on with more tamed beasts/pets you can possibly destroy it.

Q: I WANA PLAY I WANA PLAY. though u shuold put a "solo mode" if u wana make a nice prity farm peacefully... u can play till u die in RL

The current format supports 1-4 players. So if you solo you can just water your crops all day long. ^,^

Q: This looks really interesting. Is it just going to be one player versus enemies, or is there a potential for multiple farmers to compete, possibly sabotage each others' farms?

The main format is designed for 4 players (farmers) to compete against each other. But you can also start the game with just 1-3 players.

Q: I am very excited...I wanted to also ask if you would do some sort of "alpha" testing so that we can ALL try it?

Alpha/Beta testing will start soon ^,^ I will post details later about it here & PM everyone who has been interested in testing so far. Testing will be only in EU server, but once we get the game semi balanced, I'll submit it to the US servers too.

Q: This looks quite creative, I like it. I'd recommend sticking with this and finishing it before starting any other projects.

Ty for feedback ^,^ I've been working on another project for a week, but went back to Farmlings now.

Q: Now maybe this is a stupid comment not being finished a finished game and all, but for harvesting you should make it possible to harvest all ready crops at once instead of having to click on each individual

Not a stupid Q at all. But yes it's already possible to harvest all at the same time (via double clicking one of them to select em all)

Q: I cant even tell what you do in the game from your video....

On page 1 there is more videos/images about the project! ^,^; But basically it's just a farming game! ΓΌ

Yeah it’s a little different than most of the action based mods ^^ Im also working on a simple multiplayer spaceship game now too, which probably has a bigger possible player pool than this one. (focusing on it being: simple, fast learning curve, addictive, fun to play)

Back to farmlings: Here is the current effect for win via teching. (have to own most of the creatures/buildings in the mod in order to morph it)

    small demo of tamed beasts.

    Embed Removed: http://www.youtube.com/v/D6-NryqTYUM?fs=1&hl=en_US

-Queen Baneling spawning some scantipede infested eggs (bad diet)
-Lyote uses the hunt ability (finds a nearby bird and slays it)
-Mutalisk lure summons an aura to lure neutral mutalisks to join you (looks nicer in game :()
-Redstone Lava King and his minions. (still lacking effects etc.)

    Updates I did yesterday:

    -Support for 4 players.
-Added/fixed win conditions. Now you can also tech ftw if you don’t want to slay all other farms.
-Added the 'Paradise Phoenix’ win condition effect (will upload video it later)

Also when the night falls, roaches will spawn around the farm and possibly attack you.

If you have a Dog House the Dogs will bark as a warning for incoming enemies.

    Hi,

I just started using the map editor a few days ago. As my first mod I decided to do a farming game: you can milk cows, harvest crops, tame beasts etc.

I recorded a video to demonstrate it a little but the upload takes way too long so I'll just post some images:

    Farmlings - Lings of Liberty

    Title screen.

Basic farm life & planting a harvestable crop

Creating watering drones to keep the plants alive!

    Sending in a bio-nuke

Nuke just about to hit the ground. On impact it will heal and create more trees instead of annihilating stuff.

    Pow

Maybe a video of this one would be better. Lots of trees & plants appear on explosion.

About to tame the queen baneling (beast must have low nrg)

Laying some eggs with the queen.

Eggs have hatched & more critters appear

    Features so far:

    Basic farm features:

Plant crops - Harvest them for extra minerals
Plant food crops - Increase your supply limit to get more animals
Water crops - Keep plants alive longer
Build farm structures - Sheep Cloning Facility, Water Tower, Storage Depot etc.
Use zerg techonolgy to create - Zergling Munchies, Mutalisk Lure, Babylisk Playground etc.

    Use structure abilities to:

Milk Cows - Get minerals Sell Animals - Get minerals
Create Baby Infestors - Infiltrate your enemy's farm and infest his plants.
Create a Dog House Domain - Dogs start to bark when enemies are nearby
Train a watch dog - Smells nearby burrowed baby Infestors

Examples of a few special features so far:

Use Mutalisk Lure - Lures nearby neutral mutalisks to your farm.
Tame beasts - gain control of wild creatures
Use tamed wild beast - lay some eggs, fight etc.
Use the Bio-Nuke - Instead of being a devastating nuke restores health & creates tons of trees + harvestable crops on impact area

Feedback appreciated or if anyone wants to test the feel free to post. Currently I am working on balancing some costs, requests etc.
