    Thanks, it was a cry for help as a lot of the tutorials are out of date, I have a lot of good ideas for the project, but struggling to figure out how to make them work. So my thanks to sc2mapster for the FP :)

    I would like to add to the game: 1. Health packs that heal the player, 2. Grenades as secondary fire, 3. Prisioners that need rescuing, 4. Weapon powerups and Armour, 5. Random loot drops.

    Player picks up health pack and gains health tutorial. Player's secondary fire throws grenades tutorial.

    Any help or pointers to tutorials that will help, much appreciated.

    Im slowly progressing thanks to some tutorials on YouTube. Enemy Commando's now drop random loot, from 'Guns, Armor and Health Packs'. I can get the 'Hero Commando' to pick up and equip armor to give an armor boost/buff, but I can't figure out a simular process to give the 'Hero Commando' health from picking uo 'Health Packs'. Any help would be appreciated.

    Ok, im slowly making progress due to some tutorials Ive found on YouTube. Enemy Commandos now drop random crates, which feature either a new weapon, armor or health packs. I've set the armor behaviour to give my Hero Commando +50 armor when an armor crate is picked up, but I can't find any settings in the 'health pack behaviour' to give life/health bonus? The only options seem to be 'Life Armor'? Can anyone shed any light on what behaviour setting i need to give my 'Hero Commander' 100 life when picking up a health pack crate?

    I agree with RiotingQueen, a lot of the tutorials are out of date and being new to the editor a lot of the tutorials are more confusing then the actual tasks we need to do. Cheers.

    Hi all,

    This is my first time using an editor, and Im looking for anyone with some experience to help me with my first project.

    StarCommando is based on the old top-down scroller 'Commando' but within a StarCraft Universe. I've already started designing the first level, and my hero is performing nicely. I've been struggling with simple tasks like (marine walks into 'treasurechest' and gains health) I will be adding 'prisoners' that will need rescuing, via a medivac, and I would like to have health packs hidden in buildings that need destroying etc. Im also having problems with objects like bridges, I can't make them solid. I need to be able to make the character find and change weapons like sniper rifles, shotguns etc, plus the ability to find/use shields, grenades and activate turrets via switches.

    Im now 2 days into this project, and i think im doing really well for a noob.

    If you think you can help and would like to get involved, please let me know.

    Many Thanks for the reply, but I need a 'StarCraft 2 Tutorial for Dummies' type explanation. I've never used an editor before, and only been using the 'StarCraft 2' one for a day. I figured out the Event line, but im baffled by the condition line?

    Ive spent all afternoon doing a tutorial for making inventory's, piking up items etc, but the tutorials seem out of date since the patch, ie: a lot of the commands are no longer in the new editor. So far im not having much luck.
