Oh, so in starcraft 1 there was a list of maps to join, and if you created a lobby-thing you would pick between those maps? Like, for example, if cat 'n' mouse was on the list to join the game and I went to create a game I would be able to play THAT cat 'n' mouse game? I'm still confused. :[

The Old System: When someone hosted a map it would show up on the list, but if they were to log off it would be removed from the list? And this worked.
The New System: Maps, when hosted, stay on battle.net forever(?) and the more a map is played, the higher it will go on the list? And this doesn't really work, right?
It's probablly possible to create a game with only dialogs, but it would take FOREVER.
Anyway, what I want to do is make, a game kind of like nexus wars/ colonial line wars, but only using dialogs.
Tier 3 would contain: Thor, BattleCruiser Colossus, Voidray Ultralisk, Mutalisk
There would be 3 different buttons off to the side, Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3
Tier 1 would contain: Marine, Marauder Zealot, Sentry Zergling, Hydalisk
Tier 2 would contain: Ghost, Tank Stalker, Immortal Roach, Baneling
When you select a unit it replaces your last unit. (ex: You have a marines spawning, you then select Zealots, those zealots would start spawning, instead of marines
There are two buildings that you have so you can use a Tier 1 unit and a Tier 3 unit, if you like.
Tier 1 units, when killed, give 1 mineral.
Tier 2 units, when killed, give 2 minerals.
Tier 3 units, when killed, give 3 minerals.
Tier 1 units cost 5 minerals
Tier 2 units cost 10 minerals
Tier 3 units cost 15-20 minerals
Timelimit would be 30 minutes, after 30 minutes, for up to 10 minutes, all units go into rage and deal 400% damage.
There will be 2 levels on the map, first level has photon cannons(Upgrade-able)
Second level has your buildings, and have your main building.
Sorry it's so long, but here it is, would it be fun to play? Would it be hard to make? Would it take a long time? I don't know, but you guys might, give me your feedback!

Reminds me alot of Spore, where there are a ton of galaxies and planets that you can colonize and attack.

When a command center is destroyed, the player keeps spawning units, how could I stop this?
I always hated that... >:/ ...I would do it a again though! and if that missed, well....I WOULD *censored**censored**censored**censored**censored*!!!! >:[
Defeat your enemies with Soldiers! Tanks! Hellions! And Medics!
Defend your command center from oncoming enemies!
Use kill points to upgrade units or even buy special units!
This is a very simple game that I whipped up in about 2.5 days.
Feedback would be nice as this is going to become a map that I will publish and "hope" to become popular >.>
May need to increase the unit limit, and it sometimes gets hard to buy special units, you'll just have to see to know what I'm talking about.
I would really like at least one person to try it out and give me suggestions!

How did the popularity system work in starcraft? I'm wondering why Blizzard didn't just use that.

I've never made a board/turn based game before....how would I do it just by using dialogs?
