posted a message on Map vs Mod question

Hi everyone, I'm a little new to all this, but I have a question... when it comes to map/mod editing, while a mod allows you to create global settings which can be applied to any map. So then say I wanted to create a mod, such as a third person shooter... (yes I realize that it will be complex and I understand the scripting I'm just figuring out the Starcraft II system...)

Then for something such as this, a mod would be used for custom unit data, models and such, but other than that the rest of the scripting and triggers would have to be done on a map correct?

I could change all the data within the map, but then if I wanted to create new levels using the same stats it would be simpler to keep all the data within a mod... correct?
