    I appear to be making a similar map to both of you, I'm remaking Final Fantasy Tactics using a random terrain generator and unit spawner. I'm yet to edit any data or terrain yet though, as i am currently still in the pen-to-paper drawingboard of my map, but both your maps seem to be coming along nicely.

    posted a message on Random Terrain Generator ?

    Hello, I'm currently looking for a tutorial of sorts to explain how i can make a randomly generated terrain map.

    My idea is as follows (this will be easier to understand if you've ever played Final Fantasy Tactics): Square Terrain that is generated on a 16x16 to 24x24 square map, with varying cliff heights (preferably 5 or more) and randomly generated doodads.

    Further along production i was hoping to have more specific restrictions on the terrain, such as: "If a cliff height = 5 (max) Terrain = Snow" and "Cactus doodad can spawn only on desert terrain" or "all square Terrain must contain at least 1 adjacent cliff of +1, 0 or -1 height (to prevent units from getting stuck)"

    Anyone know where i can find a tutorial for this? or able to explain delicately to me how i might attain the effects i'm after?

    posted a message on Creating a triggerable HUD button

    Hello forum; long time leecher first time poster.

    I have some general question and inquiry's regarding HUD Buttons and Icons... For those how do not know what i am referring to... The "HUD" is the Screen the surrounds your game, In standard SC2 Your HUD is where you can find all your units you can train, buildings you can build... etc etc, Special Custom maps like Haunted Mansion have completely removed their HUD in order to enhance the game (I'm not 100% about this as i can't play it because i'm on SEA server)

    How on earth do you make them/edit them/remove them? How do you attach them? And how do you get them where you need them to be?

    Is there a Tutorial located on the website that i just havn't found?
