    ok that sounds good

    i also had annother idea a unit called the twilight templar... a unit that has the attack of a dark templar and the halucination ability of a high templar

    with the twilight templar there would be 2 ways to make a twilight archon (dark+high templar or 2 twilight templar) and also there would be 2 new archons the dusk (twilight+dark) and dawn(twilight+high) archons so basicly with this idea there are 3 templar and 5 archons (i also had a better set up for the twilight archons)

    dusk archons will have weak archon attacks, cloaking, halucination twilight archons will have a medium strength archon attack and psionic storm dawn will have a stronger archon attack and feedback

    well with what i've seen and been working on i think i might have a breakthough with these units soon.

    ok so i came up with this great/crazy idea... 4 "variants" on the classic protoss race... i've also come up with a few ideas for units, abilitys, backstory and heros for each

    1: twilight protoss

    named such because they have mastered the powers of twilight their leader known as zero was once a great templar high ranking in the khala but just before the war between the high and dark templar broke out he began to learn their power... he trained deciples and quickly mastered the powers of twilight... when the other high templar heard of this he and his followers where cast off from Aiur... shortly before the dark templar now they have returned and have started to rejoin with their bretheren... whom they refer to as the shatered

    all their units instead of having a yellowish armour will have more of a twilight blue they will only have 1 templar (twilight templar) and also their basic units will have basic dark, light, or twilight abilitys

    2: elemental protoss

    these protoss also started on Aiur but they have much diffenrt terms of transformation... at one time they where on a large protoss ship that set off to colonize new worlds also on bord the ship where 4 large kydarine crystals... while they where in orbit over a planet they where considering a sudin burst of energy launched off and caused their ship to crash it landed in four sections of the planet... well long story short the kydarine crystals(one per crash site) mutated and thus caused the protoss to mutate as well one of fire, one of water, one of wind, and one of earth

    this group has a very strange ablity known as "death evolution" the 4 types zealotsif they die they will leave a corpse and that will allow after a 5 sec timer to revive as the next type of zealot in the alignment (fire>water>wind>earth) it can only do this 4 times... now if you have one of each type of zealot on it's 5th life and have each die near each other they will revive as a death zealot 5 deaths zealots together will revive as a chaos zealot and 5 chaos will become an armagedon zealot... one other thing their elemental templar can fuse with any zealot and become an archon of that element (or fuse with annother templar and become an elemental archon)

    3: time masters

    this group started the same as the elemental protoss but they got caught in a time vortex over a planet and where forced down... the single kydarine crystal they brought with them was sent back in the planet's timeline, so when the protoss landed the new crystals where everywhere. they started to mine the crystals right away gaining new powers from them but one templar got caught to close to an unstable crystal which exploded and gave him powers that he didn't even relize about at the time... but the high tribunal of the planet because of the casulates of the explosion sentenced him to death. at the time he was to be executed he had gotten a messedge from the future telling him to "live on" so he had excaped... and headed straight to the tribunal and showed them his power... and thus the other protoss on the planet agreed to make him their new leader he took the name "time controller"

    now these protoss have power over time they have 2 main zealots sloth and hasty zealots sloth have a slow zone around them any opponets around them slow to 1/2 their normal speed and the hasty zealots can trigger an ability to x2 their speed for up to 10 seconds at a time... templars on the other hand are much difrent they have 10 "time whips" if they use them on an ally they increase his/her abilitys by x2 for each whip attached but one the other had if they use it on an enemy they start to rapid age decreasing their max/current hp by 2hp/sec as well as decreasing their accuracy and power

    4: zerg controllers

    start off the same as the 2 and 3 but this time they crash on a volcanic planet much like char now what they find when they awaken is their crystal unlike the others they didn't mutate in color but instead in shape it got strange organic growths all over it and had strange propertes... it attracted a new threat zerg... now when they landed they didn't attack but they obeyed the protoss the new crystals had signals almost identical to the overmind... but one of the survivers wern't counted for and when he found the crash site they didn't reconize him he was a hybrid... the first encountered, but this caused the rest of them not to flee but to learn and eventualy the templar learned how to hybridise. now the one surviver simply took the name "hybrid 0" for he was the first of their hybrid.

    this race starts with 2 "mini" bases 1 of protoss the other of zerg now the zealots have an ablility known as "force" when neer small zerg they can cause them to become stronger/faster but they lose a few hit points in the process but on larger zerg they hop on and ride them which makes them much stronger but lose some hit points as well... but the templar have a much differnt ability they can fuse with not only other templar but also allow them to hybridise and "change" when they fuse with one templar they are a normal archon but if they fuse with a templar and 2 zerg they become a pefect hybrid (of course there are other versions that can emerge)

    now this is only a rough overview of the whole concept (haven't realy worked on any "advanced" units or flyers) and also i do have some other permutations for the elemental "death evolution" ability but I won't go into them now now post if you have any ideas or can help out with this and ty for anything you can do to help. (also if you can come up with better name please tell me them)

    I took a look at the dark archon and i have to admit very nice job eventhough it didn't have the maelstorm ability it worked great... just one thing about the mc ability I noticed that it was missing (not realy major though) after i used mc the dark archon's sheild didn't end up going down to zero like it did before. one other thing that i noticed but haven't tryed is the dark templar merge ability that you made just asking does it work?

    but overall nice job with it heh i bet using the dark archon unit you made and the archon unit i bet i could manage to make a twilight archon

    Ok i just got Sc II and i was realy bumbed out to find out that one of my fav units from Sc:Brood war didn't make it... The Dark Archon

    So if possible with the editor could someone make a Dark Archonish unit... i've tryed myself but can't quite get a hold of the editor...

    oh and one other thing if this is possible could someone also try to make annnother idea i had... the "Twilight Archon" it would have the same attack as an archon (just a little weaker) and have feedback like the dark archon (his color would be a dark purple)

    one last thing i had an idea as to how someone could make the mind controll ability... take the i think its the deffilars corruption tenticle ablility thing (the one that latches on and takes controll of one unit) and edit it so it can be used w/o the attachement and so when it is used the target changes from whoever was controling it to the controler of the dark archon.

    ty to anyone who can make this idea into a reality
