I can't say that this for sure applies to the Immortal as well, but I recently made a Siege Tank that fires on any target in range no matter facing direction or movement... I'd assume that if there's a way to do this with the Immortal it would work the same way.

I don't currently have access to the Galaxy Editor to check my exact verbiage, hopefully my ad-lib explanation will do you justice. To allow a Siege Tank to fire while moving (and maintain turret facing towards his target) you have to modify two fields on the Siege Tank's weapon. The first field is something like 'Allow Movement' (near the top of the actual weapon's data table). Allow Movement can be set to three values: None, slowing, moving (roughly). To allow the tank to fire while moving this field must be set to 'Moving'.

The other field I had to change was regarding its targeting requirements, not the big allow/exclude/required list but the other list that has options like 'Can initiate attack', 'only fire while attacking', etc... again sorry I don't have the exact field name. It needs to have a couple options changed on it to allow the weapon to acquire targets while the unit is being given other orders.

Also note that the Siege Tank has a turret with 360 degree movement... I'd assume the Immortal does too, just because the top half of his body is able to spin unlike many other units (lots, marines, etc.). The turret part is certainly required as well if the Immortal doesn't have it by default.

Can't say I know much about any trigger that allows you to modify turret facing without modifying the unit's facing, though - the bit about turret facing direction matching camera direction may not be easily possible.

I'll try to get on the GE when I get home and give some lacking specifics about changing the weapon.
