I cant figure this out, but attaching models to other models bones was quite easy in 3ds max so I did that instead.

posted a message on Attach an actor to an actor

I'm having some non-related problems with the hat, but here is a map where i try to attach a human(zealot) to a boat(stalker) and then a zergling to the humans shoulder using the exact same method.

The zergling show up on the human(zealot) standing beside the boat if I have the Event+ as UnitBirth.Zealot - Create as normal, but if I change it to the boat (UnitBirth.Stalker - Create) it doesn´t show up on the human(zealot) standing on the boat.

Edit: The zergling actually does show up if I start the map in starcraft, but then it doesn´t follow the boat. I need to check up on that.

I am trying to make a unit consisting of 3 actors attached together: A human standing on a boat wearing a hat.

I have successfully attached the human to the boat using an actortype: Model with parent ModelAddition (Have also tried Model Animation Style Continuous) and setting Model to the human, Host Site Operations to SOpAttachHardPoint04 and adding a Unitbirth.Boat - Create Event

The Boat then have a human standing on it. But now if I want to add the hat to the human model, how would I go about this? If I do the same thing as for the boat - human, creating a actortype: Model with parent ModelAddition, setting Model to the hat, Host Site Operations to SOpAttachHead and Host+ - Subject - Actor - Human. For what event should this happen since its not a unit birth? I tried ActorCreation.Human - Create but it doesn´t seem to work?

I did the extraction according to this guide

    http://www.sc2mapster.com/forums/resources/tutorials/8299-galaxy-noobs-wow-to-sc2-in-30-seconds-no-3dmax/

And I've tried several models/attachments. I uploaded my own map to show the problem, I've attached a rapier model to the weapon point of a human male and it follows the motion of the hand, but stops to do so when any rotation or local offset Site Operation is applied. I've also tried to attach a zergling to the hand of Garrash, a model I found here:

    http://www.sc2mapster.com/forums/resources/art-assets/8347-wow-model-pack-requests/#posts

with the exact same result, the zergling follows the hand perfectly, but when a 180 degree rotation is applied, its static. Also tried attaching the human male to a ship - same result. It could be something with the rotation/local offset that I'm missing? What I'm doing right now is creating a new Actor with actor type Model and Parent Model Animation Style Continuous, changing the model of it to the wanted one, adding the Host Site Operation and creating a new Event: Unit Birth.(Parent Model) - Create

EDIT: It seems to work while the unit is moving, it's just when it's standing still the attachment becomes static even if the attachment point moves.

I would like to request the human boat going from Stormwind to Darkshore. I have tried to find it myself, but all I find in the MPQs are the sails for it.
