And that would account for number of players attacking/bounty?

And I knew it was inefficient, I was just trying to get the general idea across because it would have to be adjusted so much. And I generally stay away from data anyway.

When the unit takes damage, add it to a unit group and set the custom value 15 to 10. Every second, pick each unit in the unit group and reduce its 15 value by one and also check to see if the value is 0. If it's zero, it hasn't taken damage for 10 seconds and remove it from the unit group.

Every time the unit takes damage, set the custom value of the damaging player of the unit being damaged to 1. After 10 seconds of not taking damage, set the custom value for valuese 1-14 to 0.

When the unit dies, set the killing player's custom value on the dying unit to 0.

Perform a rolling loop of custom values 1-14 on the dying unit to get the number of assisting players.

Use the number of assisting players to help get the amount that the assisting players receive.

Do another loop 1-14 of custom values on the dying unit and give money to the players with a value of 1 on the dying unit.

Basically, you're using the unit's custom values as a data base. I've done it before, you'll need to be crafty to make it workable.

posted a message on Has the Arcade gained momentum?

I don't think the Arcade's lack of a large player base is due to the lack of mappers (due to the data editor being too complex).

I dislike using the Arcade but not because of the lack of maps. There are still plenty of playable maps that I haven't tried.

And I seriously doubt the reason many players stopped using the Arcade is because they ran out of maps to try out.

Or does anyone see a problem with that logic?

I like the name. I wish I'd thought of that (except abbreviated for something else). What was the pre-translation name?

posted a message on Has the Arcade gained momentum?

I never use the spotlight page to find new maps, as I generally do not try new maps in the first place.

It's too much of a hassle to risk time on a new map, waiting in lobby if its not popular, waiting possibly forever at the loading screen, then possibly dropping for a game that may not even be worth playing. In SC1, it was just click join-start and I was in-game within 20 seconds in a map that had a very low learning curve because the engine didn't enable complicated maps.

So I get tired of playing the same maps over and over, and I have associated bad feelings with trying out new maps, which is why I generally don't get on the Arcade much and I map instead.

I don't believe the spotlight page is a problem. It's just summarizing the browse page for us. The browse page is just information. What's wrong with information?

So while the Arcade has improved in terms of wasted time (being able to preview maps) it just, in my eyes, won't be a good system until I can get in any map with an incredibly low chance of dropping and very short loading screens. Blizzard being able to make that a reality is doubtful.

So in my opinion, the Arcade itself is okay, even good, there's just that one unfixable flaw.

TL;DR: Overall system too unfriendly to trying out new maps.

Ultimately it is a silly thing to ask for given how barren this site is in terms of available, competent editors. However, some people just like being told what to do and are okay with that. It's just not realistic given how little available people are here anyway.

I'd just like to say, I think we should support team projects whether they are in the conceptual phase or not.

I had spoken with him through PMs about how some of his expectations were unrealistic and he agreed.

I'm confused, they copied a published game, that company sued Blizzard, so Blizzard took the map down, right?
