I think some of the answers in this thread might answer your question: http://www.sc2mapster.com/forums/development/map-development/4616-too-many-doodads-in-terrain-cause-lag/

Personally I would say: 60,000 sounds like a lot :S, though I don't know much about it. Never done much terrain-ing yet. But I guess it depends on how the camera is set up.

In Denmark, it would have been your fault. Since you should have stopped/slowed down and make sure no one was coming. And the fact that you hit the car in the side, instead of the car hitting you on the side, wouldn't have helped you either, insurance and court wise.

posted a message on Today, i nearly Died..

Damn, 10 grand wtf! I had a somewhat similar experience about 2 years ago, when I was riding my bike home from school on a normal day, and I was about to cross an intersection. BAMM, an old lady, took a right turn and slammed into me, I flew down and landed on my back, without a helmet on of course. Luckily for me it had been a long day at school, so my backpack was filled to the brink with books, and my head couldn't reach the ground, so phew my skull didn't crack lol. At this point, the car is at a stand still, and my bike and me are lying halfway under the car, and nothing crucial has happened. Unfortunately before getting out of the car and checking up on me, the old lady decides to pull into the side, so that she isn't in the way for the other drivers, which results in her thrashing the bike with her front tire, and creating a single tire track from my left arm and chest down to my left foot with her back tire. Which was very visible, because I was wearing my black rain coat and trousers, when I afterwards got up on my feet and placed my left arm correct according to my chest.

To my luck, there were two policemen who witnessed everything from their car 5 feet away from the 'scene of crime', who came running to my rescue, and described the event as my getting swallowed by the car. I was the victim, since when a car wants to take a right turn, they have to wait until everyone/thing has gotten passed first, at least that is how it is in Denmark. And she ignored that/didn't see me, before taking the turn. So the old lady had to pay for a new bike, and whatever damage happened to her own car.

Even though I somehow managed to get through this with very minor bruises, I couldn't stop shacking :S Even after I had been with the old lady and police talking about for an hour, I was still shacking when I was walking home, and when I came home. But when I woke up next morning I was just happy that I could borrow my mothers bike, so I could ride the bike to school!

My point is: "Why do we fall, sir? So that we can learn to pick ourselves up."

Try using the 2x2 doodad footprint, I believe that is the square one and then mobs won't be able to pass through, when you only use 2x2 the actual footprint is more of a circle than a square, so the mobs will try to pass through round those edges. Maybe this help :)

posted a message on Forcefield - Broken?

Someone has the same problem not very long ago, you have to have a neutral player in the game or something like that.

"You need to add a Neutral player to your map since the Force Field create unit effect is set up to create the unit for a Neutral player.

Open Terrain Editor Open from menu: Map -> Player Properties Select Player #0 (Neutral). Change Control dropdown to Neutral."

Well you can't expect everyone to have an interest in your map or have a solution to your problem. If I were to comment on every thread I read, there would be a lot spam, simply because I discover that I don't know the solution. Then I just close the thread and find another one that I might have something worth posting. Otherwise, there would be a lot of annoying post that contributes with nothing but "Hey, that's a bad problem you got there sonny boy!" everywhere.
