Pitfall: enUS is now forced on as a locale each and every time you open a map. Furthermore enUS will be set to the default language, even if no text exists for it, making it appear as though all your game text has been deleted.
Solution: Switch to enUS as your default locale. I guess there's no fix for this besides Blizzard fixing it themselves.
Edit: Seems like enGB is just gone as a locale?
Edit2: Okay, if you're on enGB like me, follow these steps to get your text back. Do not do anything else.
Go to "Mod" or "Map" dropdown menu. Go to "Locale". "Modify Locales". Now check enUS and press okay. Then open the menu again and uncheck enGB. Now restart the map, and your text should be back. It's important to do this in order or else you'll just lose your text.
don't seem to have this problem, i still have enGB as a locale and there seems to be no text problems
So I have replaced normal traditional upgrades with a behavior system, because the traditional way is very time consuming especially if you have many unit types and offer upgrades affecting several attributes of the units.
Instead of creating upgrades for each individual unit, weapon, effect, etc, I have created a behavior for each attribute I would like to upgrade.
Each unit spawns with the behavior by default, and the behavior has no different values in the "modification" section, until you upgrade that.
For example, all infantry units spawn with 5 behaviors: InfantryArmour, InfantrySpeed, InfantryHealth, InfantryAttackSpeed, InfantryDamage
While all protoss units spawn with 5 different behaviors of the same type, named so: ProtossArmour, etc
This is the problem: I upgrade any of my infantry behaviors, InfantryAttack speed for example, which adds 0.1 to the attack speed multiplier in the modifications section of that behavior. When this upgrade is complete, it restores some of the health of the enemy protoss units.
If multiple people click to revive one player at the same time, the revived player can end up with an amount of Kobolds equal to 1 + # of reviving players
as far as I'm concerned all organized religion is just silly and we don't need it anymore
what I don't get is why the US is so religious, religion is more popular in poorer countries with little hope for its citizens. Most African nations are highly religious, some wishing to execute homosexuals, others believing you inherit a person's soul by eating him (and actually doing it too).
But it's nearly impossible to change the minds of people brought up in a religion from birth, it is best just to let them continue but deny them special religious privileges such as harassing gays, stoning women and preaching that most of the human race will be eternally tormented by some 4th dimensional being

@Teldrius: Go
How did you lose your maps? They haven't deleted any map files from the maps folder, so where else are they deleting?

So what are they actually doing? Doesn't actually tell you what engine or editor updates are coming if any does it?

the best workaround it to just scale everything down so that the relative map size increases

anyone had any luck using this on the war3 assets?
Haven't managed to swap textures on any of them yet
Actually, managed it now:
No substrings like _Diffuse. Only enable the slot main.
No underscore after model name.
Can look weird though, here's the war3_ChaosWarlord with marine diffuse next to his normal brothers. He's got a square shield now for some reason.

I really can't figure out why it's doing this!
