Okay, so I tried the first mission and a little bit of the second. It's kind of average so far. The plot could use more depth and a better presentation, and the gameplay is sort of repetitive and not very challenging. The first mission is ridiculously short and easy; I was able to complete it by mostly A-moving my troops around. The terrain is decent but unspectacular: my only real gripe with it is the floating islands that sometimes blocks your vision of the battlefield.
Overall, this feels more like a standard SC1 campaign; not bad, especially if it's supposed to be your first effort, but nothing special either.
Now for the nitpicks:
- Remove the greyed-out StimPak icon in Episode I if you're not to make the upgrade available.
- Don't make sandbags belong to the computer; my troops automatically attack them as if they were hostile structures.
- If you don't plan to allow the player to produce Reapers, than you should disable their speed upgrade in the Tech Lab.
- If your enemy is the Dominion, why is their color brown and yours red? Shouldn't it be the opposite?
Correction: I *helped* reworking some of the Terran maps. The rest is all Ultraling's doing I believe. Heck, I haven't touched the Zerg missions because I thought they looked already good enough.
Are you looking for a NA hoster? I know someone who is himself looking for someone trustworthy to upload his own map Weapons & Merchants on EU servers. Maybe you two could start a partnership?
His name is Ricky_Honejasi; you can find him on Campaign Creations.
I gotta say, I love the concept and I haven't noticed a single bug so far, but I do have some issues regarding the execution:
- The map itself is rather plain-looking and lacks details;
- Cyan isn't a good color for the Zerg;
- The gameplay gets old fast, as you can't upgrade Kerrigan's abilities or buy new ones and the four default ones are a bit meh;
- Raynor's forces shouldn't be spawning from only one building; infantry should come from Barracks, vehicles from factory and so on;
- What's up with the "Megalisk"? Where are my Ultralisks?
- The buildings you have to destroy for the first two secondary objectives feel way too random. How about destroying starports to restore Zerg's air power (and thus crippling Raynor's) and destroying psi-disrupters to re-enable Nydus Worms. You could also add a third secondary objective (which you could locate in the middle base) to drain the lava, like blowing up some kind of dam.
- The Terrans could use a more diverse army earlier
I must say I was originally expecting a reworked "All In" map, not a whole new one made from scratch. That's a bit of a disappointement. Also, it's a shame you didn't use more lines from the campaign in order to make the map feel more authentic and more like an actual "what-if" scenario. Some taunts, like Kerrigan's, would work great in this one! Heck, you could even add the Odin as a boss character!
All in all, though, a good effort, but could use more details and a more cinematic presentation
Of course, we could use all the feedback and help we can get. There might be a few glitches left here and there, usually the ones that we haven't figured out, but none of these should affect gameplay. Hopefully.
Enjoy!
HOW TO PLAY
Save all maps to the folder C:\Program Files\StarCraft II\Maps\ leaving their file names unchanged. (You must use this specific folder or the next map won't load.)
Open the Maps folder and drag the file PURITY 01 Begin.SC2Map onto your SC2 launch icon.//
Good to see this map is still being worked on! The current version is a considerable improvement over the last build I tried (8.0 or so, I believe). The only problem is that towards the end (when we started building Beacons), the games turns to a slideshow with my performance dropping to 5 FPS or so. Even after reducing all my settings to minimum, it was laggy, like very laggy!
Hey there! So, is the project still being worked on? I've been dabbling in mapping for a while and I'm interested in lending a hand with map design or beta-testing.

Try searching "Harbingers" instead.

I suggest you check out Ashes of Freedom and Purity of Form.

Looks decent enough. Maybe you could team up with Jones313's remake project and add his custom tech tree and Sons of Korhal decals.
I also suggest you change the fog mask to "Black Mask", so unexplored areas will initially be covered in black fog, like in the official campaigns.

Where is the narration coming from? It sounds quite professional.

Looks great! There should be more coop versions of WoL's missions like this one and Left 2 Die.

Because I had a question regarding inappropriate content policies and there was already a thread on that subject.

I have a question.
If our campaign (Purity of Form) isn't hosted by Battle.net, does it still need to conform with Blizzard's content policies?

Well, I'd like to try it, but unfortunately, I'm on the NA server.

Hey, Oracle! How's work on campaign going? Do you need any help with anything?
