I was thinking of for my map to make enemies glow to show that they are stronger. I was going to use an ability and allow it for the units. So you might be able to find some ability and to make them look like they're glowing.
Nexus wars type map is kind of vague. As far I know it's just a remake which means it isn't that good at all which means it deserves no testing. Unless you did something original to the nexus wars formula I doubt you'll get much testers. As iMisu said, don't make us hate you also. Nobody likes Nexus Wars remakes.
I want to learn more about the trigger editor but it seems that some of the intermediate to advanced stuff requires variables. I don't really understand the point of variables. Could someone explain them. I also want to add saved data and from what I'm hearing banks are the way to go. But I've also hear people trying to encrypt their banks. Is this necessary to do and if not what's the worst that can happen?
I could do just terran but I always like having some diversity. I would make each race completely different but then that requires too much balancing. Well not really, I'm just slightly lazy.
I was thinking a basic rock, paper, scissors mechanic. There are three units to build and six commanders and one leader. The leader can send in his special guard. The commanders each have something unique and can build one of the three units. Then after you set them up you set where you want them to go and watch the carnage begin. I've been studying Napoleonic warfare recently and it seems like they had basically 3 unit sets and it required more strategy.
So we got the infantry, artillery, and the cavalry. So far I got protoss and terran set up pretty easy. But I can't think of zerg, maybe give them something special but not make them unbalanced.
Looking for someone to do some data editing or help me learn it. Terrainer would be great. Also any feedback on this idea. should I even try this map?
Sounds kind of like the additions added to Zombies vs Plants for the 360 version. It has multiplayer where the other person controls the zombies. Except this is towers and waves on both sides.
I play monster hunter and would love to see how this map turns out. The area system sounds good but don't some bosses follow you if you run sometimes? You'll need to make a town where you can buy, sell, forge, etc. and then add drops to the lesser monsters. Also learning how bosses fight is the big part of Monster Hunter. I'm not sure how that will work out since almost all units have one attack animation.
I find it really odd but sometimes it doesn't tell me to log into battle.net on the editor. Usually when I open using the hotkey on my G15 keyboard. I almost never open it any other way and it rarely tells me to log in.

I wouldn't be surprised, some think they can edit without even trying anything first. This thing is powerful and it makes boys into men.

Just PM me if you want to share ideas. Really this map was thought up out of boredom while in class.

Did you get all these PMs before you posted the pictures or after? I'm betting for after. Pictures will help a lot.

I would love to help test/balance. I could even give you ideas for towers.

Pictures would be great. If I get can some support I might need a terrainer for this other project I'm trying to get started.

Still no word from the guy. Can we get someone to replace him?

Is that really Mar Sara? Looks really nice. Although it looks more metropolis like than mar sara which I consider an old western style planet.
